↩ @'r00t' You aren't supposed to be pouring wine on your computer in the first place....

just to say we may need some virtual machines for this and not everyone (like me) can/wants to do it on there own laptop how will this be done? will totalfreedom provide the vm's?

↩ Akefu-Brewer You aren’t supposed to be pouring wine on your computer in the first place….
r00t isn't on about that. He's on about a program on Linux called Wine which can be used to run applications made for Windows. The definition for it on Wikipedia is as follows:
QuoteWine is a free and open-source compatibility layer that aims to allow application software and computer games developed for Microsoft Windows to run on Unix-like operating systems.

↩ @'wxtermelon' it was a joke
-
-
-
↩ @'Ryan' automated calls to TF admins from corporate letting you know you've been written up.
just kidding, I'd totally be down. this can likely be done by zipping up a VMware virtual machine and then you can import it on any computer and only one person has to make it
-
↩ @'Ryan' BobTC is a website ran by scambaiters that is meant for calling scammers.
TextNow is another good alternative. -

↩ @'wxtermelon' Unix-like
Okay, so what if I use something like OpenBSD?
-
we only need a backups from the VM cause they may remove them
-
-
↩ @'r00t' it is possible lol both the backup and once scammers are connected and you dont pay them they will remove EVERYTHING
-
-
↩ @'r00t' Its a virtual machine with an operating system on it the only thing we need to backup is the files so if the scammers delete the files (if they are connected) we can place them back on
-
-
↩ @'r00t' photos apps text files word files everything that can be deleted without dev shit
-
-
↩ matscalle You might as well try to kill svchost.exe.
You can’t do things like that without admin permissions, and if you login to a Standard account, the scammer will need the password of an Administrator account to perform such an action, and since they don’t know said password, they can’t do it without bypassing UAC, which is actually somewhat hard if you take the necessary precautions. (sorry if that was terribly worded, its almost 12:00 AM for me and my eye hurts for some reason)↩ videogamesm12 And (no disrespect intended but) you can just use a snapshot.

I’m trying to make a Slackware and a Windows 10 virtual machine.
Not successful so far though, apparently I don’t have the modules vmmon and vmnet, which VMware for some reason won’t work without. -
