Unless there's a reason why it shouldn't be, make it public so non-admins can see it. I support transparency for all, we should all be aware of these people who can be a danger to the community.
Make the unappealable ban list public
Please Note: The TotalFreedom Forum has now been put into a read-only mode. Total Freedom has now closed down and will not be returning in any way, shape or form. It has been a pleasure to lead this community and I wish you all the best for your futures.

vouch, i dont see an issue with naming and shaming the fucks sick enough to end up on there or have too much of an edge

There were two reasons it wasn't originally public.
The practical reason is that there's no real logical place for it to live without adding to the growing sticky threads everyone moans about already.
The other was that there are separate threads stating when someone has been added so the community can see (and these can age with time as normal) but the list lives in the admin sticky section so admins can be aware in case of bypassing and likewise in the event someone succeeded me as server owner (as Steven has).
I have no real issue with it being public, it just seemed like a duplication of already public data and would add to something people already complain about.

Neutral.
It's likely just going to end up as another unneccesary feature that'll make the forum more cluttered, but I don't see an issue with shaming everyone who was added to the indefinite ban list in the first place. -
↩ @'r00t' heck you Why shame me good guy =) actually, vouch

The purpose of this suggestion is so people like ↩ batchest are aware of these bad actors that can potentally bypass their ban and wreck more havoc, especially with the fact they cannot appeal, their incentive to bypass is increased.
I'm against shaming people, I believe it's wrong to shame people regardless if the person getting shamed is banned, not banned, or banned without appeal.
Also ↩ fleshly removing any names defeats the whole purpose of this suggestion. Even if it may lead to people getting shamed, I prefer bringing these bad actors to light.

What happens if one of the people on the unappealable bans list tries to appeal?
Will we (quite cruelly) let voting continue just to inevitably deny it? Will we immediately deny it, thus outing that the user is on the unappealable bans list? If the latter happens, what is the point of hiding the list?

↩ RedEastWood what is the point of hiding the list?
As per my previous response, it's not a case of hiding it, it was a case of it not having a better home than in the admin sticky threads.

vouch for above reasons (though I have a few questions as to why the list even exists as separate from the normal indef-ban list)

↩ volleo6144 There’s a fine line between unappealable bans and permanent bans that can be appealed. That’s why we call them indefinite bans. They are permanent until you appeal them
