Completely forbid NSFW builds/heads

  • builds/heads that depict illegal shit (child pornography, necrophillia, or having sex with an animal idk what name that is) should be an offense. i remember one asshat posting a dude fucking a dog on the old TF forum shoutbox and that was prob one my 13th reasons why

Illegal content does fall under the current sanction policy and already violates the community guidelines.

  • I'm battled on this. I personally don't mind if you do weird stuff away from my face, however I believe exposing children to adult stuff or interactions, even if by accident, could be a legal liability Atlas would want to avoid.

The Minecraft server and this forum don't have an age requirement, and due to the nature of the service, laws like USA's COPPA might consider this a service targeted to children.

Many online platforms (YouTube for example) have had to comply to those laws, for example by forcing you to sign in and verify your age before giving you access to content that may be "sensitive" or "inappropriate for some audience".

  •   Mousey 250 blocks are nothing, it's an arbitrary number so that, when you land on the spawn point, you only render the safe space. You start moving, you'll soon load anything close to that limit. If anything, the radius should be bigger for spawn area.

In my opinion, there shouldn't be a radius. When we had a radius, people just built a penis wall 251 blocks around spawn, "sexy build follow this path" signs and it generally didn't fix the problem - a giant depiction of something inappropriate could be built 500 blocks away and be completely visible from spawn. Alternatively, something much smaller and hidden could be 100 blocks away and completely fine.

  • I'm going to deny this, I think the community guidelines give clear enough rules on what is / not allowed, and ultimately empowers our staff to make decisions on if content needs to be removed or if it's acceptable as-is.
