Im not a fan of Linux, but i used Ubuntu on VM and once on real hardware.
You can try Pop OS or Manjaro. But try not breaking your windows system when dual booting. On my 2016 macbook pro i had windows 10 and i wanted to install ubuntu to see how it feels. After installation, guess what? I couldnt boot back. On the linux boot menu u should have the linux os and windows. Well i selected windows and it was stuck on a black screen. -

How technical do you want to go? Linux varies between attempting to recreate a Windows experience and having to open a terminal every 5 seconds to do anything.

@StevenNL2000#8715 Looking for something in between.

@Fleek#8716 In that case, I recommend Arch Linux.

Personally I tend to go CentOS with the Mate Desktop on it. Works great for everything I use it for, but that's because a lot of my work on Linux is VSCode and Ansible, and CentOS / RHEL just work better for that workload.
