i also noticed this, perhaps a glitch with the new plugin?
-
didnt notice
i dont see anything wrong with mine -
I have noticed this for a while, i dont think its a bug with any of the extensions on this particular forum, mainly because i feel that it would have been figured out by now. i am pretty sure its a bug with flarum itself.

Why does this forum have so many bugs but any other Flarum forum I go to works fine?
-
↩ Ivan Flarm hasn't worked properly for us since we installed it... No idea why as I followed the standard setup guide like everyone else. It's possible we just got un-lucky with the version of the beta we originally used and there's some damage left over from that which we've never noticed / been able to fix.
-
↩ @'Ryan' Have there even been attempts to resolve it by like reinstalling it
-
↩ Ivan I've honestly not been brave enough to try a full reinstall out of fear of it breaking more or losing data.
Originally the plan was to burn flarum and move to something better. That's still an option.
I've tried to debug the fault but there's just no error logs when things have failed which have made it even harder than it really should be.

↩ @'Ryan' Is it possible to make a copy of the current data we have, make a test forum, copy the data over and see what that does?
-
↩ Ivan having done something similar, you should* be able to make a backup of the database itself and reinstall flarum.
there's a chance that it's nothing database related and more front-end than anything, in which you could simply use the existing database n stuff when reinstalling..*there's obviously the chance that this will fuck everything, esp. that this is flarum, but it shouldn't do so

Sorry I know this is a huuuuuge bump but has any attempt been made to either reinstall Flarum or fix these bugs?
-
↩ Ivan Flarum isn't up to date I don't think and we're in a bad loop. Wild doesn't want to spend time fixing the forum but also doesn't want to move away because everyone will complain regardless. Flarum has never worked well under Wild. It's been way slower than normal and all these weird bugs that I've never seen on other flarum forums
-
↩ Telesphoreo So then let a System Admin like @"root"#15 handle it?
-
↩ Ivan Given I am trying to take some time away from tf no this hasn't been looked at.
Part of the issue is its not easy to reproduce. I for example have never seen this issue logged in or not on any device I use. Reinstalling flarum is an option and might end up making sense anyway given how fucked the beta version we used when we first re built after Seth has ran and seemingly fucked shit up every update since. Will look at options properly when I'm not trying to take some time to myself. I haven't forgotten about this or the other flarum related shit shows.
-
↩ @'Ryan' Like Ivan said, why not just let a SysAdmin do the work for you? If you're not going to let your sysadmins fix it, then what's the point of creating the sysadmin group?
-
↩ characterslimits Because the sys admins are allocated to support the Minecraft servers. There are serious GDPR issues I would have to deal with mainly by "Employing" the sys admins if I wanted to grant them access to the forums, else you lot would all have a bitching session around being DOX'd in the usual uneducated way these threads go.
This will be deslt with as I've already said, when I am more active.
Locking this now because people seem to lack the ability to read my own reply.
