↩ @'billy7oblos' A 3D game like Minecraft requires a graphics card (integrated or dedicated) to perform the calculations at a reasonable speed. It works perfectly fine without one, it's just unbearably slow.
A completely free VPS that is better than the one you're paying for

This VPS was great to use... until the free trial ended.
Just 2 days after the free trial ended, my VPS was shut off entirely and I was shut out of my account with the error:
I tried contacting their help service but got no response. It seems as if they shut off all their free VPS's right after the trial ends (despite guaranteeing you "always free" access to specific resources)
Shame really...

↩ StevenNL2000 My apologies... shortly after sending this post, I received an email from them containing the following:
It's interesting to see that they've said I can continue to use their "Always Free" services as I was, yet I'm unable to login to my oracle account. I'm unable to contact them about the matter because, as they've said, they're unable to provide customer support unless I upgrade my oracle account.

so even though i'm clueless as to VPS stuff as i finally realise, can this be used to host a website if setup properly?

↩ DragonSlayer2189 yeah i have that but i forgor you need to buy a vps or some sort of hosting 💀

↩ You! you could use apache to run a web server off the VPS, yes. There are tons of videos out there to show you how to do so, just search for "OCI web server". As for the domain... it's not necessary unless you would like a familiar URL, the apache web server would just run off the VPS' public IP.
I found this video on YouTube which runs over the basics:

↩ You! I actually moved https://folfy.blue (Which I use mainly for image hosting) to this platform, so yes, you can, its quite annoying to get working on Oracle's platform but possible
-
↩ Folfy_Blue annoying in what manner?
-
-
↩ Folfy_Blue ahhh, alright -- i'll have to look into that actually.
-
↩ Folfy_Blue I got it working with two firewall rules, wasn't that lengthy. You've just got to make sure you choose "Create VM Instance" and open the ports 80 on TCP/UDP.
