Just to let folks know we've made a couple of minor changes to the Skyblock server experience in preparations for bringing it into the core TF Network.
The first change is the server now runs in onlinemode and you will require a premium Minecraft account to join the server. This has caused some unexpected teething issues due to the fact it has historically always ran in offlinemode. This is being worked through and we hope to bring the server back online shortly with the issues resolved.
We have also moved the server to the latest version of paper, our hopes being this should help to improve some of the poor performance aspects that seemed to be happening in the game, which weren't being reflected in the hardware allocated to the server, we will be continuing to monitor the situation and make further optimizations where we can.
This is enabling us to in the coming weeks fully integrate the Skyblock gamemode into the TF Network, which will be a somewhat more substantial jump and will be dependent on an update across the network to one of our core plugins to make this integration as seamless as possible.
I appreciate a lot of folks in the community still aren't super keen on the Skyblock gamemode, but it has proven to have a small player base, and can run with 0 effort from the existing development team, which right now is exceptionally useful to us, so that we can dedicate the dev time needed to the continued work on the Freedom Gamemode.
