I've actually worked as a backend Java developer for the server SocoOp, not sure if y'all have heard of it but it was quite popular(at least 5 members on at any given moment). I've since compiled TFM for that server and got past a few errors that any of the other developers had the caliber to solve.
I've also gotten into Machine Learning, and I've built a website that can detect Coronavirus and other chest-related diseases including fractures from a trained X-Train model: https://xray-analyzer.codextheduplexa.repl.co. I've used tf.js(TensorFlow, not our server lmao) and shards to build this website. The frontend is just a simple HTML webpage that I used CSS Framework that I made to make it visibly appealing yet professional.
I've also coded a Discord bot in Discord.js
    https://repl.it/@ArnavGhosh/CodexBot-Template
Of course, this is just a template because I don't want little kids forking my code and claiming it as their own! The actual CodexBot has much more features than this.
I've also coded a Port Scanner for my school that had their internet hit off by someone who goes by the name Akbar, and someone who goes by the snapchat name BlackHatHacker(LMAOOOOOOO).
This is the source code I used. https://repl.it/@ArnavGhosh/Port-Scan.
It takes a bit since I actually use a bunch of threads and the closed ports keep getting pinged for data, but it works.

4 - A short bit about why you want to become a developer for TF.
The development game has always fascinated me, really. What about it fascinates me you may ask? The thing is, actual code being produced fascinates me. How we're able to sit hours on end in a room, tapping away at a keyboard trying to make "untitled.py" or whatever the language case may be into something that could be used by the general audience while minimizing human error, something that is inevitible. Human error is always unpredictable. One day your software could be turned against society and your IP pinger could be used as a botnet. Your website source code to your stylish and sick video-game website could be hacked and people could start building hacked clients based off of it. I understand the magnitude of attentive detail when it comes to computer programming. One small bleep in your code that PyCharm or the IDE that you use can't pick up, you sell hackable trash to the audience. Just another target. I don't want the work I help out with TF or the code I write for the TotalFreedom server to be hackable trash. I want it to be server code that can be easily used by the audience and hard for attackers to get past. I normally average 120 Words Per Minute, so I can produce code pretty quickly.

    Thanks,
    CodexTheDuplex

  • @TFTWPhoenix#6415 So at the moment Discord is where we're primarily working out of so if you're able to use it that would be preferred. We don't have any sort of IRC / similar setup so not entirely sure how that would work. Alternatively if you really want to avoid using Discord I can drop you an e-mail and we can get you setup there instead and can communicate via Jira tickets / Github PR's.

That would be much appreciated. Should I drop you my email in a private message?

  • @CodexTheDuplex#6703 Hi Codex,

As a development team we were wondering if you had Java specific repositories you could show us. What you have provided in your portfolio is JS and Python examples - we are mainly focused on hiring Java developers.

If you are concerned with keeping your Java repositories as private as possible, then just share them with wild1145 (wild1145) on GitHub and he will have a look.

As you guys are looking for more Java developers, I am happy to offer some of my time working on plugins - perhaps updating some outdated plugins. Coding/programming is what I enjoy doing in my spare time with many projects created in different languages, Java is the goto language for me. I have been a part of the TotalFreedom community since 2014 and volunteered my time as an admin from 2015 until mid-2020, and became the ECD for a few months in late 2019. I believe I know what the community wants to see and I know the community wants to see TotalFreedom succeed and last longer.

  • Apologies for the delayed responses guys, we've all been a bit more swamped than usual. I'm going to do a review tomorrow when I have some time and will update this thread accordingly.

I once ran a minecraft server too :)
4 - A short bit about why you want to become a developer for TF. server is full of badevs and i want to fix that by being the only goodev here. also bruh ive applied so many times and all I get is my forum account deleted which is stupid af. maybe now i can develop for cool server totalfreedom which i have played on for years and years (at least 5 according to google history but almost certaintly even more than that)

  • @CodexTheDuplex#6703 Thanks for your application. At the moment we're really looking for individuals with a history in Java, and at least on the examples provided the current development team haven't felt that the examples provided show that level of experience. At the moment we're not able to accept your application, but would suggest if you do have better examples of Java work you have completed to re-apply in the future.

  • @abhi#6829 Apologies for the delay, speaking to the development team they are happy with the examples provided and we would like to accept your application. Could you please confirm your discord name as I can't see it on our guild.

  • @wild1145#8768 I have used java and know about it. As seen in my past work, I have worked on other free-op servers as well as have created plugins and mods, all of which run on Java. Other than those, I also messed with LWJGL once, but those are my main pieces.

  • @Ivan#8785 Ive never released the source of any of them but I will list them here:

    • minecraft plugin that renders youtube videos to minecraft maps
    • edits to UnraveledMC mod as well as to UltraRedFreedom Mod:
      proof
    • minecraft plugin that allows direct shell access through in-game commands (no proof because the files are on another device...)
    • my mod that you may or may not have seen me using on totalfreedom which primarily functions as a notebot (this was tough to program!! and thus is entirely closed-source) but also includes an automatic image builder, a tablet-to-minecraft drawing utility that moves the player using an external tablet, a helper utility to help convert /summon commands to spawn eggs, a crossbow spammer utility, and some basic hacks like antiknockback that somehow were not included in bleachhack or wurst clients.

I have a lot of experience and I would love to code for a server like this and help improve with the massive backlog of suggestions and server issues!
Thank you for reading my application!
