Please Note: The TotalFreedom Forum has now been put into a read-only mode. Total Freedom has now closed down and will not be returning in any way, shape or form. It has been a pleasure to lead this community and I wish you all the best for your futures.

    Glad to be a part of the content team for the event! I'll be doing my best for my part on the project and hope you guys would find my builds and items a tasteful addition to the game.

    Some things are better left forgotten. But when has that stopped anyone, eh?

    I look forward to you all playing! See you then.

    coco i swear after im done with this i'll do the actual mb shit ok please

      Tizz Oh hey, that's me.

    In short, they are no longer up to my standard as they are made around 2 years ago at this point.

    Yes, I have not broken any rule and the builds themselves are serviceable as spawn builds, but personally I'd like to do better. In hindsight and for the time being, they could probably just stay up, but I doubt with the current rate of change of spawns the server will need my spawns so might as well ask for them to no longer be in this list if better versions of the same build will be made in (relatively) short time.

    That said, I respect the final decision of the (A)ECD to keep it as a usable spawn or not. (lets be honest tho the decision reallllly doesnt matter does it)

    5) How often will you be active as a MB on Total Freedom? (Daily, once a week etc.)

    Hopefully 5 hours per week, depending how university goes.

    With this, I present you the two most recent builds I have made for evidence that I still know how to right-click.

    Happy new year! Your favorite plastic builder is back on TotalFreedom.

    TF in it's core is a sandbox. Put it with a bunch of guys into D&D and are already friends to begin with, you'd have a fun afternoon. Put it with a bunch of guys who are into politics, maybe you'd get some discussion about current society. Put it with a bunch of idiots who will argue over anything, well, if you have logical capabilities you would know you'd get an argument.

    TF without a healthy, supportive community is empty. A lot of the guys I played with would agree with me, and would say this is the reason why most of us left.

    TF for me has always been just basically Tinder for acquaintances, put bluntly. Get to know them more, you guys get into your own group DMs and eventually move off TF. There is just nothing that I can think of that is exclusively unique to TF except for the fact that it's either chaotic, dead, broken, or brimming with a whole bunch of kids fighting for glory. Coming from a guy that was once the most active non-admin... Not reassuring.

    If all you have are newer, more precise policies; Different staff team; New marketing strategy; Original gimmicks; Shiny rebrand - Unless we are going forward with a completely rewired player base, mark my words that little would change.

    Do take my stance with a grain of salt, because I have rarely interacted with the server in the recent 9 months - But I feel that until we recognize that TF conceptually is a mere platform for the arbitrary goo that is the player base that comes and goes constantly, I doubt much progress can be made sanding and sharpening this rusty blade.

    However much I'd love for the dead horse of TF to be buried, I truly wish whatever endeavours you might pursue prosper, my words accounted for or not. Good luck.

    I believe this was a suggestion put forth by yours truly that was already approved under Seth's time but just didn't iron out the details to do it yet.

    My suggestion was to limit how many plots OPs can claim (my suggestion was 100 plots) to limit the problem of having 5000x5000 plots. Would like to know what you all think.

    @redeastwood#180

    Your concerns are valid, but I have played with this player for quite a while now and I can verify that the player has made the builds by themselves. The ship was made quite a long time ago (I'm sure many can vouch for this) and it makes sense that they used a schematic here instead of the raw original build (especially so since the server was literally obliterated a few days ago).

    I'm glad that you pay attention to these details to ensure that nobody plagiarized on Master Builder applications, but I believe this is a false alarm.

    Vouch.

    A lot of nice little builds!

    The trees build and the ship was especially impressive in that they are quite a cohesive piece. The train station was quite detailed as well. The houses and the mansion look fine but personally would prefer to see something a bit more cohesive as a relatively larger project rather than bits here and there, though by themselves they look fine.

    Overall quite a solid candidate, can't wait for future bigger projects you have in mind.

    Neutral, may be subject to change with further discussion.

    You want an OP's perspective? I'll give you an OP's perspective.

    You'll see me almost never commenting on threads that involve higher hierarchies logistics. Be it admin quarrels, executive policy changes or what have you. Do I have opinions on them? Sure - but I don't actually care enough to voice it, and I doubt most of us even care enough to have an opinion. Do they bring changes to the table? Sure, but do they bring changes of substance that affects a normal player's experience on the server? I don't think that changing one line in the policy constitutes to all of your rights being lost nor does it mean the server will rapidly deteriorate to nothingness within 2 weeks, which is mainly the reason why I often don't care enough and neither does most of the OPs.

    We all know that there's constantly tons of admins actively replying in the forums. Do you know why it isn't the case for OPs? Personally, usually because of two reasons:

    1. The situation is silly and either that I don't have an opinion or I don't feel like giving one;
    2. The concern is already voiced by other people in the same thread and therefore would be redundant to repeat a point.

    The biggest gripe I have with this post is that you make it mutually exclusive that an admin can never have an OP's perspective. I simply cannot count how many times admins have voiced some concern that I had in mind or even made some concerns that would only matter to an OP that I didn't even think existed. Just because a person has a certain rank does not mean they cannot logically derive the effects of a certain change on any other specific ranks.

    Points are criticized based on the validity of the points. If someone suggested a horrid irreversible change to the server that brings nothing positive, people will criticize it be the person making the point you or Darth, Luke, Panther, me or any other person really.

    I am frustrated at this post not because I read things from an admin's perspective, I am frustrated because you are undermining the actual freedom and power we all have that we don't utilize. You made the "first thread" on this entire forums within 5 minutes of the new forums announcement. If that isn't a testament to say how easy it is for any player to voice their concerns, I don't know what is.

    If you really wanted a controlled, open environment for discussion to take place in the balance of all parties with points simply criticized for what they are, I don't think you would need to make a separate Discord server for OPs and specifically OPs to join. What you are creating is not a good environment to cultivate good suggestions to better the future of TotalFreedom. To put nicely, it's a safespace - to put it blunt, it sounds nothing less of an echo chamber.

    The concept and the intention of this OP Council thing is not bad. If we really could somehow encourage OPs to give more valid opinions (unique or not) that would be amazing to the server. Sadly, your execution is very much dangerous and your true intentions seems questionable.

    I look forward to what you think.
