↩ characterslimits There is a fatal loophole with this. An OP could theoretically maliciously use a new exploit, then report it and theoretically get off punishment because they "reported" it. There should be no exemptions to the policy because its already common sense that if you know of an exploit that could be abused maliciously, you should tell the respective individuals (Developers/Owner).

↩ videogamesm12 the fuck is that bullshit
i tried it on beginner:
beginner mode is cheating too like what the fuck? -
That's impressive. 40 fps is also very playable which is surprisingly amazing, especially given the fact its on native hardware. XP is a great OS in general.

I Object. Leniency in regards to certain server policies is needed, but not for bans. Indefinite bans are a necessary evil that are needed to keep problematic people out. We need them to keep those stupid assholes who think crashing the server repeatedly or their little troll stunts are 'funny' and for the severe cases in which we have people who've broke real life laws.
I've also noticed its usually the players who are banned that suggest leniency to try and get their bans removed sooner.

Fuck flarum.
I fuckin hit the 'reply' button expecting the 'like' button to be there. Why does a forum software have to suck so badly? -
-
I Object to removing guildd. This plugin is popular used quite often by OPs. There is no inherent security risks either, so what is the justification for wanting it removed?

↩ @'Anes' Did you seriously just admit to bypassing? lmfao

I Object. User has been Bypassing bans and as another user has said, the latest ban was on Tuesday.

↩ @'r00t' did you mean: the forcing of more bloatware on people? internet explorer works perfectly well, and it's very lightweight, so i dont see a reason for microsoft edge to be preinstalled
Obviously bloatware is a problem and that issue existed on 8, 8.1 and 10 so its nothing new, but Microsoft has been deliberately making it harder for people to switch to other browsers; read more on that here.

I personally recommend physical drives for storage, and you can get nice large storage sized (like 2tb) external drives from reputable companies such as Seagate or Western Digital for good prices on Amazon. Don't ever buy drives from fly-by-night companies.

I completely agree with this thread. Seriously, a line needs to be drawn because this shit's going to be what kills the server, not a lack of players and it came very close to doing just that which should have been enough of a warning that this type of "humour" (can it even be called that?) needs to stop; but we all know, nearly having the server shut down wasn't enough for people to get the message.
It should be painfully obvious that it isn't humour if the party you're "joking" about isn't laughing along with you.

I Vouch. Why this was disabled to begin with makes no sense to me, given the fact there's absolutely no way this can harm the server on its own. In older versions of TFM, there even used to be a config entry that would allow for it to easily be enabled or disabled without editing the TFM itself.
EDIT: Well, looking at the latest TFM, it seems that feature was retained so its a matter of editing a config file and reloading the server.

I Object. That gives a free pass for trolls.

This suggestion calls for a Zero-Tolerance stance of players using or attempting to use harmful exploits on the server on the basis of TotalFreedom is not the place to "test" your exploits, especially the varieties known for being able to cause data loss on the server or can easily crash players/server with minimal effort by the user, clear violations of the conduct policy. This suggestion will not require any new rules be added to the conduct policy, but instead place a 'Zero-Tolerance' stance on the usage of exploits on the server due to the reasons stated at the beginning of this post.
Why Suggest This?
This suggestion is being done in light of a recent case in which an operator was caught using an exploit, inadvertently crashing an admin investigating the incident (myself) and despite the blatant Section 1 violations, insisted they did nothing wrong and a massive shitshow ensured. The large amount of evidence proving that the exploit is indeed capable of causing damage and the effects it could do proved otherwise, thankfully which resolved the incident. This suggestion calls for preventing future incidents like the mentioned one in which a player uses obviously forbidden exploits potentially gets a 'free pass' from being rightly punished by the server conduct policy by taking advantage of grey areas in the conduct policy.
Additional Information:- Simply possessing an exploit in your inventory will most likely not be under the scope of this policy because unless the person possessing it is actually using it, there is no way to prove malicious intent; the person could potentially be a victim of an exploit and would be unfairly banned as a result.
- The usage of exploits on the server easily falls under these and Section 1 policies and there is no mention of whether or not the user has to even be successful in causing harm to the server or what is classified as "using an exploit" which may lead to grey areas in regards to interpretation. This suggestion will fix this by simply outlining that any exploit usage is forbidden, regardless if they successfully were able to cause harm to the server or players.

↩ videogamesm12 My list of clients kind of overlaps yours.
I've used throughout the years:- WeepCraft
- Wolfram
- Nodus
- Meteor
- Wurst
- LiquidBounce
- Sigma (hated it)
- Aristois (hated it)
- Flare
- Impact
- Inertia
- SkillClient
- Jigsaw
The concept of paid clients is really stupid and not worth my money.

If you were a former Total Freedom staff member (of any rank) and you wish to be reinstated, please apply using this template and place your application in the admin application section with the subject Application for Reinstatement and your Minecraft name.
Your Minecraft name: Alco_Rs11
Are you using the same forum & Minecraft account that you used when you were a staff member in the past? (Yes or No). If no, state all former account names and be prepared to verify that you're not an imposter. Yes, this is the same MC Account.
Note: Reinstatements will not be approved until the EAO can positively verify that the person applying for reinstatement is the same as the past admin - the burden of proof is on the person requesting reinstatement.
What rank were you (Admin, Senior Admin) and the approx dates you were a staff member: (e.g. super admin from Jun 2010 - Jan 2013) I was a Super Telnet Administrator from sometime in like 2015, went inactive 2 years later, came back in 2018, remained as a telnet and was removed again in like 2019 by Seth for inactivity.
Why were you removed from your staff position? (Answer one below and exclude the rest)
a. For long term inactivity? (Yes or No) If Yes, did you post an inactivity notice or did you leave without notice - please explain if no notice was left. Inactivity was caused by a lack of interest in the server and subsequently removed by one of Seth's inactivity purges. (Technically without notice on my part)
b. I left or was told to leave the server due to a security breach of my accounts (Yes or No). If yes, explain the circumstances and how you plan to ensure it doesn't happen again.
c. I quit or resigned (Yes or No) If Yes, please post a link to your resignation thread (if available).
d. I was removed or suspended for misconduct (Yes or No) If yes, explain why and detail your plan to ensure it won't happen again.
e. I voluntarily left the server to avoid a suspension or possible suspension (Yes or No). If yes, explain the circumstances and how you plan to ensure it doesn't happen again.
f. I rage-quit or left in a dramatic manner (Yes or no). If yes, explain the circumstances and how you plan to ensure it doesn't happen again.
g. If you don't know why you were removed, state, "I don't know why I was removed"
If you were removed just for long term inactivity or you resigned (yes to 4a or 4c above and no to 4b, d, e, and f), please skip to Q 6 otherwise you must answer this question: What current activities have you performed to merit reinstatement?
a. Filed griefer reports on the forum
b. Assisted new or existing players (explain how)
c. Creative endeavors such as making promotional videos for TF (If Yes, give examples)
d. Have assisted in TF development activities such as contributing to TFM (If Yes, give examples)
e. Have assisted in improving policy or general moderation of the TF server or forum? (if Yes, give examples)
f. Other (provide detailed explanation)If you are reinstated, how often will you be able to do staff duties? I can be able to come on at least once or twice a week to do my staff duties for at least 1-2 hours. Times may vary due to university schedules.
Have you reviewed the server rules and banning protocols to ensure you're up to speed on any changes that might have occurred since your return from inactivity? Yes I have.
Do you have a family member that's been on the perm ban list within the past 60 days? If yes, your request will be denied. No and nobody under my IP address is in the perm ban list at all.
Staff Response Instructions: You may vouch or object. However, unlike initial applications for admin and promotion applications, former staff who sincerely wish to overcome past mistakes will normally be given the benefit of the doubt and provided extra chances to succeed or fail. If you don't believe the applicant is sincere, object and state why (e.g. the applicant still has a bad attitude and causing trouble on the server). If the applicant was a former Senior, you may also vouch to reinstate at a lower level.
Note: The acting Executive Admin Officer can place you under probationary status upon reinstatement under their discretion, however, they must have a valid reason (e.g reinstating then always going inactive). The Inactivity Policy for returning staff is no longer in effect, meaning former staff will be reinstated to the rank they had before losing status, with no restrictions.
