Please Note: The TotalFreedom Forum has now been put into a read-only mode. Total Freedom has now closed down and will not be returning in any way, shape or form. It has been a pleasure to lead this community and I wish you all the best for your futures.

A quick recap of the current course of development for 2022:

On Feb 22nd, 2022, the servers will all be updated to 1.18.2

Upon the 1.18 TF Release, expedited issues will be completed in preparation for MC 1.19, following any other issues selected for development. Afterwards, minor bug fixes will be implemented as well as community suggestions incorporated into TFM/Freedom-01. Once we reach the point where we begin to incorporate community suggestions, the suggestions for freedom-01 will be temporarily closed until we release the 1.19 version. We will be migrating things such as the discord module, the ranking and punishment systems, and the command blocking system, out of TFM in favor of plugins better suited for those tasks such as NetworkManager and DiscordSRV. Custom plugin builds will be (mostly) replaced by their standard counterparts.

TFM will be released as a LTS version upon 1.19's release, and will be backburnered until future notice.

During the final stretch of time between bugfixing and 1.19 LTS (dubbed Codename Caladrius) brainstorming and preemptive development work will begin on a new gamemode which will incorporate the freedom aspects into that gamemode. This is still a seedling of an idea and may not actually come to fruition, or comes out in a different way than we anticipate (such as making it a monthly event server that runs for a week), but for right now this is not a solid proof of concept and only a thought that may not even become a reality. It's all dependent on how things go during and after the 1.19 release.

I hope this gives people some clarity and understanding on the course of development for the coming year. If there are any questions feel free to DM me or comment them.

I would also appreciate any community input in regards to aforementioned new gamemode / event server.

At some point in the near future, TFM will be released into an LTS version and development will basically all but halt on the project, in favor of exploring other options. I'll keep this one in mind.

TF Guilds was originally maintained by someone else, so it kind of fell into the background. It is scheduled to receive bugfixes alongside LibsDisguises as well as an upgrade for a couple other plugins, at some point in the near future. This will happen before the 1.18 update in February.

Ivan I'll be honest, I'm not too sure how this happened as LD was one of the only plugins that was untouched during the upgrade. Whoever put it there put it there during 1.16.5 and I'm not sure how long it's been in there. I don't own a copy of the plugin nor have I gone out of my way to grab the free version or compile it myself, so how this happened is a mystery.

I have no stance on this. One one hand, you have made clear in the past through your actions that you will inevitably repeat the same actions, repeatedly, time and time again. You have made it very difficult to earn any sort of trust back from the community when it comes to rejoining, due to your blatant insincerity of past apologies; an insincerity reflected, it seems, in this apology post as well. Not only have you broken countless TF policies, but also committed actions that not only violate the policies here but violate numerous laws in multiple countries. Due to these facts, your permanent ban seems to still hold some validity. On the other hand, it's been 6 years since your indefinite ban date, and we have been through many iterations of what I consider to be eras for TotalFreedom. Who is to say in that time away you've also changed for the better? The only way to find out is allowing you back to prove yourself. It's a very tough spot to call, in the event that your previous actions repeated would still be a detriment to the server and its community, and in the state we are in currently, this is not something that has any warrant. Especially now with the progression we have made in terms of player retention and server upkeep, and overall community health. I think rather than posting an apology thread, where you could blow smoke out your ass all day and it would be hard to gather whether it's sincere or not, you should spend time actively contributing to the community through the forums in positive ways.
