    how does wine, which translates windows API calls, beat native windows? especially to do with games that are either a pain in the ass to install (league on lutris) or that don't outright support linux at all?
    while the work of steam and the steamdeck team is promising, proton is still in it's infancy and many games work at less desirable conditions (either not working or at lower frame rates)

    i would go back to linux - more specifically into VFIO - if some games I played ran near native and/or their anticheats didn't ban me for using a virtual machine

    for a gaming machine linux is not your end all and be all, but neither is windows
    if you are playing only minecraft then go ahead with linux (it is very fun to customize it) but otherwise just go windows lol

    i like the shop idea but the lives idea in practicality i don't think would work

    people who grind the anarchy will have many lives and are able therefore to do more pvp with those that don't grind, therefore creating a large power dynamic between the people who join and the people who are active

    2b2t has a very rough spawn as an anarchy server so if people with higher lives who are "encouraged to do more traditional anarchy activities" camp spawn its just unfair for those who join
    this of course could already happen with people with lots of gear but i think it would be more often as they don't have the threat of dying

    i've seen hardcore anarchy servers on mc and they're usually the same concept however have a death timer
    these types of servers need something new about them to actually make them viable since otherwise there are hundreds are other servers that do it better than us lol

    but what do i know, people being scared for their lives all season sounds boring as fuck and i can't predict a server's activities

  • Infected Event - 9PM GMT

    it was a shame i forgot to join the server, appreciate the kind words about the plugin

    yeah the heartbeat itself i designed to be more vague than the zombies' because it supposed to be zombies hunting humans - not the other way around - and therefore it only acts as a warning.

    the zombies get specific detail on where humans are because in the hosted events i made with irl friends people could just camp a corner and zombies would not know where they are.

    it kind of caught me off guard especially how the event was being hosted on the same day, i made this plugin a while ago without the testing capabilities of a large playerbase which is why i wanted to host a quick event and then plan a larger one with balancing in mind but since it was delayed 30 times i just stopped working on it

    shout out to the events team for bringing it back though, i appreciate my work being used in some sort of way, wxtermelon and cynacx were very supportive

    personally i feel that as an admin you always have a peak, for me being my early years and with speed, ron, super, shrimp, etc and with lyicx and bowie

    its a natural thing that it dies down, thats why i've left and surely many others have as well

    having to babysit hundreds of ops and even admins gets old fast so i hope you're doing well

  • criticizing drawing with ron

    so ron made this abomination of a logo for the smp:

    so today we're going to be criticizing ron

    first of all, the most notable issue is that the right side is crooked as fuck

    second of all is the absolutely dog shit "handwritten" text he decided to put as islands on the earth which aint even the same size or height (lines on future image)

    then we got the fact that the top two lines making the 3d effect aren't even parallel and the island on the right is made horribly

    the sides of the squares arent even parallel either

    that finalizes today's criticizing drawing with ron please add your futher comments on this absolutely wet horse shit show of a logo by my good friend @"Rhymix"#45 and also vote in the poll whose logo looks the best (right answers only: mine, i am very vain)
