I recently had a conversation with an indefinitely banned player about some of the problems with the server. One of the issues he pointed out was that the Conduct Policy is rather lengthy, difficult to understand, and restrictive. He compared our ruleset to that of Plexus' (formerly known as StevenNL2000Freedom), noting that the latter's was much more simple, more easy to understand, and less restrictive. When I looked at what he was talking about, it really was like night and day. So, I've decided to query the community's thoughts on the two rulesets. Who's is better: TotalFreedom or Plexus? Is there any improvements we could make to our ruleset to resolve the issues in the Conduct Policy?

We can install Geyser as either a standalone proxy or as a BungeeCord/Spigot plugin.

Geyser alone will work fine if we want to only allow Bedrock players with a Java edition account. However, if we want to allow Bedrock edition players without a Java edition account to join the server, we will need to install the Floodgate plugin. The bonus about Floodgate is that you can actually set it up so that players can link their Bedrock edition account to an existing Java edition account.

Linux elitists by a long shot. Twitter literally fosters cancel culture and the concept of spreading misleading content. Cancel culture primarily works by taking things someone has said out of context and using it against them to paint them as the embodiment of all evil. This has the potential to fuck an innocent person over by ruining their reputation and public image. Linux elitists, while sometimes annoying, can at least be reasoned and at the end of the day, you can still learn something from them.
