I can't even make fun of Mojang for this because this was a vulnerability present in a library they didn't even touch.
Dammit.

So... you want us to offer a service that is guaranteed to be attacked by people who sit in the shadows as a team?
Quote
This is a mechanic, not a game mode.

I don't disagree that there should be more freedom servers, but the TotalFreedomMod just isn't flexible enough for this anymore. I can always fork it and offer a lightweight alternative, but this is something that would need actual demand.
Quote
No. These can be done on the freedom server already.
Quote
A system that revolves around real life currency for privileges has always been against the foundation of TotalFreedom.
Quote
How? If anything it would harm it, because then it would be generic as fuck.
Quote
Certainly. LTSC is the only bearable edition of Windows 10.
Quote
You will still get the same security updates as before, but you won't get feature updates.
Quote
No. LTSC is an enterprise-grade version of Windows. However, there are ways around its activation, obviously.
Why didn't you just go with the Windows 10 LTSC 2021? It includes WSL2, which is what you are seeking.
I have released a minor update that uplifts the mod from 1.16.5 to 1.17.1.

The thing about adding new plugins is that we have to actually make sure it can't be exploited in some way where it hinders the overall player experience or causes instability on the server. If we don't, the consequences could be catastrophic. This is a process that takes a lot of time, and we're currently occupied with moving to 1.17 so we don't have much time to look into shit like that.
Quote
You're going to need to be more specific than that.
Quote
Ticket already created (as Erin said), nothing is being implemented because of the reason I provided above. Be patient.
Quote
We're not a MMORPG server.
Quote
The server is rich with history already.
Also, none of the things you suggested are things we "need", but rather things you "want". There is a clear difference between the two.
Sorry, but I have to object.
You have a tendency to be quite... trigger-happy when it comes to handling situations. You're quick to ban people even when the evidence is only circumstantial. I fear that you may be too trigger-happy to be able to handle the responsibilities of the Hub Moderator rank, a rank that controls access to the server on a network-wide level.
The primary focus of the development team is to get everything ready for 1.17. Adding features is considered a low priority right now with this in mind.
↩ DragonSlayer2189 Introducing minigames makes us look like a generic shitty minigame server like Hypixel or Mineplex, regardless of what coat of paint we spray onto it. We're exchanging what makes us unique for a slightly better player count with this.
↩ DragonSlayer2189 Ryan has repeatedly stated that he doesn't want either on the server.
Why disable 1.17.x and 1.16.x support when freedom-01 runs one of the aforementioned versions? It makes no sense to disable it and could potentially harm our playerbase as some users may not have computers that are new enough to run 1.17 or 1.18. Not to mention, this blocks off a huge amount of the item community because 1.17 got rid of stupidly high enchantments and HD heads.
You mean the day where nothing happened?
Neutral. While I do like the idea (could be handy for re-implementing the Club 1000 system), I feel that we should focus on re-implementing what we lost when we moved from ProBoards to Flarum before considering adding more features.
I strongly object; now that 1.18 is out, there have been multiple reports of bad performance caused by 1.18 in some shape or form. Whether it be its new chunk generation or even memory leaks, the problem is the same - it's about as unstable as Kaboom on a Saturday. I strongly advise we wait until 1.18.1 comes out to clean up all the bugs.

I appreciate the push to update the server to the very latest version, however we must make sure that the version we're moving to is guaranteed to be stable.
It has come to my attention that ChatReactions is a bit messy. I will voluntarily maintain this plugin and clean it up, but I will ensure that the plugin will still be able to be used by all servers, not just TotalFreedom.
The chat reaction system in the TotalFreedomMod sucks, is redundant, and is a feature that isn't strictly necessary. We should remove it and replace it with integration for something that actually gets used more often.
