Quote↩ @'fndndjdnsnsn' if we ban “offensive builds” then we shouldn’t allow NSFW.
Building offensive shit like a swastika, a symbol known in society to be associated with the mass-murder of millions, is not the same as building a dick.
Quote↩ @'fndndjdnsnsn' A minor or someone who is against porn could be offended by this.
Nobody is going to be offended by a dick build made in like 5 seconds out of dirt.
We probably should make sure there aren't any oversights in the logging process or any exploits to be aware of before switching to FAWE. If this is the case, then I'm going to vouch. AsyncWorldEdit is more of a shithole than an outhouse.
Banning all NSFW builds, in all likelihood, would only further encourage people to build them, a phenomenon known to many as the Streisand effect. It would be a waste of administrative resources to enforce something like this.
Object.
This doesn't fix the core problem. The TotalFreedomMod shouldn't be throwing these errors in the first place, it literally throws errors because the Discord integration in the plugin was terribly designed to begin with.
Object - we should be resolving the issue itself, not implementing a band-aid solution.
Well shit, this was actually my fault since I wrote the code that did the checking.
I tried looking for a way to fix this to no avail, so unless PlotSquared offers a way to check if a player is in a plot that they own, I'm not sure how I would properly resolve this issue.
Quote↩ gamingto12 And what website was this for?
Discord.
I personally dig the futuristic space aesthetic, but I don't think it would fit in with the kind of server TF is.
By that logic, aren't we all technically animals?
We really should just shitcan Flarum at this point. The lack of basic security and overall functionality, combined with the "modern" design it adapts, really makes it an unattractive forum to work with.
Forum software should be built to be secure out of the fucking box, and yet Flarum by design requires you to do the extra work of actively searching for extensions to resolve basic security issues. Why should we have to hope in vain for an extension to be made in order to solve something that other forum software would have out of the box?
This whole situation is yet another reason to add to the very long list of reasons why Flarum should be shitcanned altogether. It works for other communities, but clearly not ours.
Moderating this as it's becoming increasingly out of hand.
Something tells me this isn't a serious appeal...
I'm nullifying this suspension as the evidence that was used to justify the suspension was arguably circumstantial and didn't actually prove that she leaked anything.
Put it on a land-based map. I dare you.
↩ MagAgentV3 Yes, there would.
Yes, I'm actually somewhat serious. We should have a gamemode depicting communism.
You would be playing as someone living in a Soviet-era Stalinist land. You're constantly starving, living in poverty, required to put everything into a community chest for "equal redistribution", and brutally oppressed if you dare go against the government. The quality of food and life in general would be extremely shitty, with a 50% chance of being poisoned by the food you eat. Corruption would be widespread in the government. You would be able to bribe the police into looking the other way. If you get caught doing anything pro-capitalist, you are immediately sent to a gulag. If you protest against the government or its glorious leader, you will disappear.
I think this gamemode would be hilarious to play on and would give people a choice of how free they want to be. It would also have great meme potential.
I have always wanted to archive the server's worlds for long-term prosperity, but there has been a problem: Ryan has outright refused to provide me FTP access to the server's worlds. Despite the fact that I didn't have direct access to these worlds, in October 2021 I decided to download the Flatlands anyways in an extremely unorthodox fashion that didn't require it. Using a combination of the World Downloader, Baritone, and Meteor client mods, I left my computer on 24/7 non-stop for several weeks to load in the world chunks by walking to sets of coordinates that incremented by 250 blocks per circulation. My client would then automatically save the chunks to disk as soon as I unloaded them.
The download itself isn't perfect; on dozens of occasions I would lose connection to the server as it would either crash or kick me for being AFK. Because my combination of mods wasn't very tolerant towards sudden world changes, my client would constantly crash or completely lock up when these situations occurred. This means there is a very slight chance that some regions are corrupted, but I'm hoping that it is mostly intact otherwise.
Enjoy.
