Luke welp i guess the jig is up.

@"DoctorZene"#379 I was Washington the whole time. Luke was Birmingham, and Elmon was London. Every single person in your TF coup discord was a high ranking admin lol.

    iykyk

Constructive criticism is one thing, which I entertain, downright disrespect and actively going out of your way to find flaws with, exploit, and crash a TF server is another.

The plans to expand TF into a network haven’t been secret in any way. Ryan has stated many times that this was his end goal, and when it was said initially it was ignored for the most part. Now that the plan is well in motion, there seems to be a huge community backlash.

I’d also like to point out that this wonderful and rich community being talked about here lives in the forums and in discord - not in game. A lot of the people I saw posting on the official announcement have not been in game for a considerable amount of time. As such I feel the need to question the nature of this community - if it does not play the actual game and only talks on the forums/discord, then what is the issue when it comes to editing the game?

If the active community on the forums and discord played the game, we wouldn’t need to do any of this. Perhaps you don’t want to play, don’t find it interesting anymore, or don’t find it fun anymore. If this is the case, then let us do what we think is best for TF’s future, and move it forward.

@'Panther' Then why is the server "ready" and open to the public? To me this is a giant sign it still needs a lot of work before it actually is released.

If you would read the thread and it’s posts you’d know.

The mechanics all work perfectly. The only thing left is to migrate the existing playerbase from the old server to our new server. That can be done behind the scenes, and so the server was released.

videogamesm12 Why didn't you do this before releasing the server?

The bond and italics in this is funny, it’s not that deep.

The reason this wasn’t done before is because Ryan wanted to keep the server on the old host until we accurately gauge the playerbase and the whole cracked vs premium issue. Once we have identified and mitigated the damage caused by the premium switch, we will move to SN infra.

It’s funny how you think any of this is due to incompetence by anyone.

videogamesm12 My issue isn't with testing. I know it requires testing, but seriously? Why didn't you wait to do testing before releasing the server?

Because as I already mentioned, there are very small number of outdated plugins anyways, and absolutely none of them impact players experience negatively.

You’re really pulling at straws here

      videogamesm12 It's a cracked server.
Cracked servers allow players to log in under obscene names like Ballsack, Cumsock, and more.

This is not a flaw, and was done intentionally. We want to gauge the cracked vs premium audience and current playerbase.

      videogamesm12 Bans don't include IPs.
Under the username EvaXephon, I was running around with the Timer hack when I got banned for 5 minutes because I was flying. Fair enough.

Bans do include IPs, I just used /ban instead of /banip because I didn’t want to fully ban you from my server. You should know there are two commands, and this entire point is completely stupid. Every single Minecraft server has the option to ban by IP, because it’s a vanilla command.

videogamesm12 The use of Spigot instead of Paper.
This would explain the TPS issues many users are complaining about.

The server is currently migrating from its original host, to TF infra. After this move, TPS will stabilise and paper will be used.

      videogamesm12 Outdated plugins.
Many plugins are outdated. Take IllegalStack for example.

The plug-ins are designed and configured to work together, and updating requires testing. You should know this. I have made sure that no lack of updates genuinely hinders players experience..

man the server has clearly been rushed as it still remains on cracked mode

How has the server “clearly been rushed”? To stay on cracked was a deliberate decision me and Ryan made…

You are yet to even join the server, so please indulge me - how is the server rushed?

    Quote

man However, the SkyBlock server seems to be in a very rushed state.

Explain to me how other than the rules. You haven’t even joined the server.

fionn I must say I've been on the server and it's very well done,

erin in my short time of playing there I've genuinely enjoyed the skyblock

Luke red you make excellent servers

If there’s an issue with the actual server, I’m more than happy to address it and/or fix it.

fionn I get you can’t please everyone but would it not be better to please the majority of the community or at least let us have some input

As I've said before, this is the direction Ryan and I think is best. Ryan's intentions to turn the server into a network and to move away from soleley freedom was listed in his original owner statement too, but you didn't comment on it then? You chose to comment on it when it was already in motion.

    Quote

fionn Take peoples thoughts into consideration it’s not much good as the marketing manager to ignore everyone except for yourself and the management team

If people's thoughts are "let's stick to the freedom server that averages 7 players", then I won't be entertaining it. If someone comes to me with valid, and smart ideas, then I will entertain it. For example, Video came to me with his idea about the three layers of freedom, to which I whole heartedly accepted and even expressed my genuine interest in.

To quote the owner (for the second time),

    Quote

@'Ryan' This wasn't a "We'd like to do this, what do y'all think", this is a "We're going down this direction because we feel it's in the best interests of the TF Network, tada".

Buycraft was pulled from the server the second I took it over. Neither myself nor Ryan anticipated that someone would actually go to the previous owner's website and buy a rank. I have no control over that. I have asked the previous owner to shut down the website, and it should be done by tonight.
