That's not his point, perhaps you misunderstood him.

His point is that the rules are so unnecessarily convoluted, written up like a constitution, and he doubts a new player who has joined a server called "Total Freedom" will want to read seven pages of rules.

I wholly agree with what he has said, the rules are indeed way too long, and they undermine the very name of this server. No new player wants to join a server called TotalFreedom, and have seven pages of rules shoved down their throat.

Yurni I told a new player to read rules.

So? This has no bearing to either his point or my point, it just seems as though you've taken his suggestion quite personaly...

Even if you did tell a new player to read rules, the fact is still that said player would not want to join a freedom server and have to read seven pages of rules.

@'billy7oblos' Ah you probably should not have dug this up, perhaps you did under the assumption I had forgotten what transpired - sadly I didn’t.

Admins have access to guild chats, and so we are able to see what users message each other. You were stating how you were going to crash the server to your peers in the guild you were in. For further clarity, I wasn’t the only admin who was aware of this - many of them were at the time. I was the one who decided to speak up about it, if it wouldn’t have been me it would’ve been someone else.

This culminated in your ban, and subsequent ban appeal; in which you claimed that your items did not crash the server. You recorded a video of yourself going on a Minehut server and using the same exploit you used on TF. I assume the intention was to prove that the item does not do anything, but it kicked you from the server. You were forced to leave the server at the exact moment the exploit was used.

I also think you’ve forgotten who I am. I was very fair with you. I changed my vote to a vouch near the end of your unban appeal because I could see your dedication to getting unbanned. I was lenient and believed you deserved a second chance. I fail to see how I was malevolent at all.

“ This user is clearly committed to getting unbanned on this server; as is demonstrated through his incessant pestering and exhaustive analysis of the Server Conduct Policy.”
“ As such, I think it fair to give this individual one last chance, to be able to join and play the server.”

I have proven to you just now that I acted fairly, took your reasoning into account, and I thought you deserved a second chance out of fairness and the sheer dedication you displayed on your unban appeal.

I am not going to address the obvious issue of time, given this issue happened 8 months ago, because I feel it fair to address your concerns. I can continue this conversation on discord with you if you wish.

enchy How is Zeno's Paradox incorrect?

He miscalculated by assuming that an infinite sequence of terms must have an infinite total, despite the fact that the terms are diminishing. The sequence in question is 1/2 + 1/4 + 1/8 +... and so on.

In reality, when the number of terms increases to infinity, 1/2 + 1/4 + 1/8 + etc has a limit of 1. That is, you may get the total as near to 1 as you want by simply adding additional words, but the result will never surpass 1.

    If we allow, S = ∑1/2 + 1/4 + 1/8 +....

    After that, S/2 = ∑1/4 + 1/8 + 1/16 +....

    S - S/2 = 1/2 S = 1/2 (diagonal terms cancel).

    Thus, S = 1.

Whats some embarassing shit you did in secondary school

Are you using the same forum & Minecraft account that you used when you were a staff member in the past?

    Yes.

What rank were you and the approx dates you were a staff member?

    Senior Admin, 2015-2021.

Why were you removed from your staff position?

    I resigned.

If you are reinstated, how often will you be able to do staff duties?

Daily availability through discord, in game from 5:30PM BST.

Have you reviewed the server rules and banning protocols?

    Yes.

Do you have a family member that's been on the perm ban list within the past 60 days?

    No.

Are you seriously expecting people to consider this? I can’t tell if this is a joke or not so I’m not sure how to formulate my response. On the off chance this isn’t a joke, I can probably pick out at least ten reasons as to why this isn’t the ideal solution.

Scraping the bottom of the barrel here really - I mean realistically speaking is the work here even worth us considering your options?

If you're planning on using LuckPerms, you don't need TFM anyways. It is a good idea and won't take long at all to implement (if worked on actively), but the actual yield it would produce may not be noticeable immediately.
It isn't something that will immediately give us flocks of new and regular players, but would rather sustain player growth over a longer time.

The rest of the suggestions seem like gimmicks to give an impression of real and radical change. A new name/new marketing is a terrible idea - we have amazing exposure and its one of the things we do well.

New marketing is extremely vague and doesn't actually mean anything. What do you mean by new marketing? What was the old marketing? It just seems quite trivial to me.

Staff team and Executive renovation is another change that is only included for the sake of a radicalised new TF feeling. It will, in reality, change absolutely nothing and will only take up a shit load of time.

erin That’s perfectly reasonable, and I agree with you fully. That being said, I cannot vote only based off applicant word, especially because I can actually see the discord conversations or whatnot. I get that this is a matter based on something I can’t see completely, so I can compromise by keeping a closer eye out for the during of this application, and voting on the last day given there aren’t too many issues.

@'Panther' My reservations are perfectly valid - if this user has not displayed any sort of change within the last two weeks, how can I even begin to trust that they will change now. I do have some leniency on the fact that this is a mental health issue and not something I can fully see, but it does appear as if they haven't changed much from when they resigned.

@'Panther' Unless you actually think the venting outside of the context of the applicant's mental health impaired their performance as an admin, I don't see how your votes should be considered.

I think that using the discord platform as a primary source to explain frustrations in detail, and to do so almost every single day, impaired their performance as an admin.
