  • ixBot Thread

    ixBot is a fun bot on TotalFreedom with a wide arsenal of commands that you can mess around with! It's online most of the time under the username "ixAlt". Use ix!help to view it's commands! All commands start with "ix!"

    Commands

    Since alot of commands get added all of the time, i will not be listing them here.


    If you wish to see a list, you can search for someone trying ix!help in the server logs, or just hop onto the server and look for yourself.

    Contributing

    Contributors are handpicked people that i trust. I don't share the code publically as i don't want to encourage people to use the bot to spam the server or make bots that attempt to compete which makes the server more toxic.

  • Chatbot application process

    Also: I think maybe people that run bots on their main should have a command like /imabot that when ran sets your rank to Bot for the rest of the session and players could perhaps use a command to hide all messages people with Bot rank post.

    Recently, a rise has begun in people making bots for the server with fun features and utility features alike! (me included.) however, i think it is very spammy. As you can see when someone currently does tf!l, like 5 bots shoot a response.


    I think an application process should happen to approve bots to prevent people from using scripts to be invasive and annoy others. This is better than outright banning bots because it encourages players to learn how to code which is always nice for people to learn : )

    Various issues with grappling hook item from /shop:

    • Grappling hook can only be used in 90 degree angles, if not you will buffer.
    • Grappling hook can only be used when on the ground when not swinging north or west, kinda defeating the purpose.
    • When swinging north & west, the grappling hook works as intended.

    ↩ @'r00t' oh i have an interesting story. get ready.


    The year? 2015. The server? MCOrigins. A server owned by ExplodingTNT. It's biggest staple is plots, Red Plots and Blue plots, two different servers. Red plots is primarily for just for random stuff, but blue is where all the cool kids go.


    2015-early 2016 were pretty relaxed based on what i remember, some guilds like Herobrine Clan or something existed but i barely remember it. However, a youtuber named "Pink Sheep" made a video reviewing plots on the server. This caused lots of little annoying kids to flood the server and naming themselves "gangsters".


    Lots of pink plots with way too many ugly diamond blocks appeared and other plots like banner & head shops became obsolete. Until a small group of players in Update 1.12 when toolbars were added transported & weird items with "custom enchantments" and "cool names" were found in chests on peoples plots.


    I had my own group of people who were against the wars on the server and wanted to prevent people from griefing other plots by asking little kids to /p trust them, but another group wanted a "monopoly on peace" or something. I used invisibility potions and investigated their plot. I found that they were the source of these cool items and in a secret room surrounded by glass was an item frame with a book in it.


    A sign under the glass casing said: "How to make Custom Items" (or something along those lines)
    Using a bug where i break and middle click insanely fast i managed to obtain it. It linked to this server.

  • Allow Chatbots under certain conditions.

    I think chatbots (macros, client chat bots with commands, stuff like RusherBot on 2b2t) should be allowed as long as they stay within /msg and don't flood chat as they don't harm the server alot if they're only in chat and private messages.
