@'Ryan' What nas software / hardware are you using? According to Google I can. Synology has read and write cache although it only really benefits from 2 SSDs which is something i wasn't aware of before

So I bought a Synology DS920+ NAS. I've wanted to do a real NAS for a long time and decided since everything is discounted. I bought 3 IronWolf drives that are 12TB each. I also bought a Samsung M.2 SSD that's 2TB (it was $300 off). I'm planning to set it up in RAID5. I'm going to keep it on my local network only and use a VPN to access it when I'm not home if I need to. Wondering if anyone else has set up a NAS before or had any experience and if RAID5 is the best option. I plan to install another M.2 SSD in the future and add a fourth 12TB drive. As far as I know this is possible

@'Ryan' I've been extremely busy and haven't had a chance to go home until now. I installed them yesterday night and the answer is yes, there is a significant difference. What I didn't anticipate was there being enough room for 4 USB ports on the pi so i used a cable to use the 3 pin and 4 pin on one cable. In other words the 3 and 4 pin are being used on one cable so I only am using two cables for 4 fans for now. This may or may not be a placebo effect but websites loading seem to be much faster then normal. The CPU usage on the gateway went down after installing the fan. Nothing on the switch except that it's very cool to the touch. Sitting at 38 C at the moment. The Pi also went down from being around 45-50C to 38 C as well. So it seems like the fans are consistently bringing the temp to 38 C. Yes, the equipment is technically rated to run at the temps they were but things seem to be a lot happier now that they're not.

    Also sorry for the bump

We already are using PaperLib for some certain things like async teleportation as you mentioned. Gonna be an object from me because you haven't cited any raw data or what specific functions are slowing down tfm that is specifically spigots fault. Plus spigot has the advantage of being able to get updates out faster rather than waiting for an additional fork. If you can show specifically where performance would be improved then go ahead.

Although upgrades from between any two version pairs are technically possible, it is recommended that all upgrades are conducted from 1.17.x. This means that you should first upgrade your world completely on 1.17.x using the --forceUpgrade server argument, and then do the same on 1.18.

If anyone knows best, he does

This could have some complications with upgrading the world since Minecraft is picky about skipping versions when upgrading. It would be better to still try to get to 1.17 (which now has very stable Paper builds) first. At this point it seems like we'll never get off 1.16, despite there being every TF plugin for 1.17 at this point

enchy Money only has value because people ascribe value to it so it can be used in an economy. If people ascribe value to NFTs the same way they do to money, then NFTs are “valuable” in our economy in the same way money is.

You're just reiterating what I said. NFT's won't be as accepted as having value because of what I said in my initial post.

enchy People actually have been putting value on NFTs, so I don’t know where you get your claim that people realize NFTs shouldn’t have value from.

But not everyone does. Again, in my initial post, everyone has to agree it has value for it to have value.

enchy Right clicking and clicking “Save as” doesn’t do anything. Just because you go to an art museum and take a picture of a painting doesn’t mean you now own that painting. It’s impossible to steal an NFT by just screenshotting it because the actual ownership of it is stored on blockchain.

Correct, but it does devalue it. If hundreds of millions of people have a picture of the Mona Lisa, does it actually make it worth it to see it in person? If I take a picture of every artwork in a museum, is it now worth my money to pay a ticket to see the artwork in the museum? No, it's not. By assigning values to the pictures themselves, the value is pretty much worthless since anyone can see it regardless of who "owns it". I can't just copy and paste money or add a million dollars to my bank account. If everyone could do that, money itself would also lose its perceived value. Keep in mind, money has value because we all agree it does and because you can't just sit at home and login to your bank account and add a million dollars to your bank account

enchy They are worth something for the same reason lots of art is worth something:
It’s just another way to store value.

No they're not. Money is actually worth nothing. We all agree that money has value and use it. We could all unanimously agree that money is bad and simply get rid of it and there's nothing the government could really do (if everyone followed through). NFTs have no value in the same way money has no value. Thing is, people aren't stupid and realize NFTs shouldn't have any value because of how stupidly easy it is to save one. If everyone could copy and paste money, then its value would go down also.

I like Flarum, I think it's the best forum software aside from XenForo, which costs a whole bunch of money. People will never stop complaining. People complained about the Proboards forum, the MyBB forum, and the flarum forum. You can't make everyone happy and trying to argue about something that's a personal preference isn't really productive and is gonna lead to a shitshow.

I'm going to be perfectly honest and say that the ownership policy doesn't mean anything anymore. Whoever has the domain pointed to their server owns TF. That's the domain everyone knows and making people switch to a new one would be pretty much impossible. Mark was a neutral party and would have no problem changing the DNS if there was eventually a new owner. Wild is not and could easily refuse to let anyone else be the owner and remove all the domain records. Giving up the domain was a terrible mistake. It's also not a violation of the ownership policy at the moment to shut down the server and refuse to cooperate in changing the domain records.

If we were actually serious about having an ownership policy instead of just for shits and giggles, the domain would be given to a genuine true neutral person / party. At the moment the policy is utterly useless.
