Checking the ban list from ingame is not as convenient as it sounds because the Minecraft chat only has a limited amount of space. The tool that was previously used for this is the bans HTTPD module, as mentioned by Video. Because of the rough developer transition, the task of fixing this module never ended up on the current developer to-do list. I definitely think it should be added there, though.

Unbanned.

This is a bit of a complex case, but given that the votes do not strongly lean either way and the ban has been in place for a week now, the user has been unbanned. I suggest being very careful with items that may or may not be able to crash the server to prevent misunderstandings.

@redeastwood#10079 I’ve tried to create a balance between a traditional game server website, and something that I personally quite liked. I’m not too sure if you mean this as criticism though. We are working on adding a player count to the website, so other than that, what would you like to see added/changed?
It's not a criticism, I just think the design you have gone with is noteworthy.

The website is definitely very different from what you would normally see for a game server. By the way, clicking on the pictures of the staff reveals what looks like stock images of people.

The problem with the player slot number is that it means nothing. It doesn't say anything about how many players the server can handle, or about how many players we can reasonably expect. There is no reason why 300 slots is better for our server than 200 or 400. I vouch for changing it to a number that is obviously fake: the suggestion is n+1, but for example always displaying 1 is also fine by me.
Good to note here is that no matter what number you want to display, the code is trivial and can easily be integrated into TFM.

The idea of the 250-block rule is fairly straightforward, namely that it's not a problem if you're not bothering anyone with it. I would argue that there is no difference between a build of a penis and a photo of a penis if you're not seeing either of them. If the problem is that they are being seen, perhaps we should increase 250 to some larger number.
@burger#10061 Discord's Terms of Service force additional restrictions upon us.

@GeekGuy432#9997 Moving back to cracked requires reworking the plot system, the player verification system, the admin verification system, the BungeeCord system, and the coin system, among others.

I still believe that the ability to join under any username is one of the core principles of the freedom concept. Since we once had a cracked server running perfectly fine, we have no one to blame but ourselves for introducing all these roadblocks that make moving back difficult.

@wild1145#9819 Then I would suggest naming Red's rank GMod Manager instead of GMod Owner, because it is you who is the "owner".
-
Are you the owner of the GMod server or the manager of the GMod server? As in, is it you or Ryan who has the final say if there is a disagreement?
-
It seems the issue was mostly solved in https://forum.totalfreedom.me/…appeal-again-rolling-eyes, and there is no majority for a sanction in this thread.
-
I was about to lock this because the ban should have expired by now, but it turns out that this is actually an indefinite ban, which means this thread needs some votes.

@DefinetlynotVoidShade#9741 Players can still build towers by hand. Or do you want to forbid anything but redstone in this world?
-
What are you missing in the existing flatlands that this new world would offer?
-
@Ashaz#9673 If you're very comfortable with Linux and the command line, boot your laptop from a Linux live USB and use ddrescue. If not, take the drive to your local computer shop and they will do approximately the same thing for you.

@Ivan#9666 When we did flatlands wipes, we did them consistently, so people couldn't build massive bases over the course of multiple months.

There is of course always the possibility that your unit was faulty, because they're definitely not supposed to fail after just a year of normal use. What brand is it?

I had to think about this for a while, but I object. I think you are very competent as an admin. There is just a single point I cannot get over: from the interactions I have seen between you and others, you seem to have a rather aggressive attitude towards anyone you believe to be in the wrong. I can't help but think that this creates many more problems than it solves.
