@Telesphoreo#12955 Having a datacenter in Texas is quite a limiting requirement. The only one other than Linode that I am comfortable recommending is Vultr:

I am going to take the liberty to lock this because it is already on the developer to-do list as FS-43, it just hasn't been fixed yet.

I have to say I'm not very well-versed in the GMod community, but it sounds like DarkRP is the most popular server type and we would have a hard time bringing something unique to it. If we do not stand out in any way, there is no reason to play on our server rather than on one that happens to have more players already.

@Telesphoreo#12860 What's wrong with the OVH VPSes in the United States?

@Telesphoreo#12618 I am confused about what setup you are trying to describe. Is the Linode server the WireGuard server or the WireGuard client? Is the Raspberry Pi running Pi-hole the WireGuard client? Or is there a third device that you are trying to set up that needs to use both of those services? If you are not having problems with DNS, how does it factor into the story?

Vouch as a low-priority feature. The use of this is that you no longer need to think about your teleports so much because you can rely on the server to remember all your previous locations.

I wonder how much development effort it would require to get this plugin to a non-exploitable state. If that is feasible, it would obviously be preferable to completely removing the plugin.

@redeastwood#12791 Is it reasonable to hold Rianne accountable for others repeating her mistakes?

As it stands, this was a 24 hour ban (ignoring the expiration issue). If you believe the ban should be indefinite, feel free to submit a request.

@volleo6144#12731 I looked it up here:
https://bgp.he.net/ip/87.65.43.21Note that I'm not saying it is necessarily feasible to do such a lookup for every ban, just that our current approach is not technically correct.

The website needs to be completely redone. This is a small bug, but there are larger bugs as well, and it needs to be redesigned with a consistent branding.
-
Are you having a problem with the DNS or with the VPN? The DNS server being able to resolve an IPv6 record does not mean that you have IPv6 connectivity.
-
An important thing to note in this discussion is that we are using a somewhat lazy approach to range bans that does not match how IP addresses actually work. When you ban a player with IP address 87.65.43.21, TFM will always set the range to 87.65.*.*. However, if you look at the CIDR block of this IP address, which is how IP ranges are really determined, it turns out that the correct range was actually 87.64.0.0 - 87.67.255.255.

I find it interesting that no one in this thread drinks their tea without milk. I almost exclusively drink rooibos, which naturally has low tannin levels and is therefore not bitter.

@Fleek#12502 The original idea of giving OPs login messages was actually that there would be no such thing as admin login messages anymore, just admins that have purchased them in the shop like normal players.
-
Unfortunately, there is no broad support for you to be unbanned at this time, meaning that this appeal is denied. As Ryan has stated, your ban reason is not invalid in itself.
-
For the record, this was a normal ban and not an indefinite one, unlike the used template suggests.

There is a related discussion in https://forum.totalfreedom.me/…l-login-messages-in-packs, where the outcome was that we would start offering login messages in packs instead of individually, but development work has not yet started on that.
There is also https://forum.totalfreedom.me/d/369-login-message-thread, which simply proposed more prebaked messages.

@videogamesm12#12449 It was the forum game "hexxy be rewnin owr prtry", which has 1708 posts.

This looks like a misunderstanding. Elmon is correct that there is precedent that an acting executive can only handle ongoing affairs. However, this is not written down in any current policy, so Lyicx and Red did not do anything wrong by that standard. That also means that Ryan's post in this thread does not contradict policy.
