Although you've edited the thread now, the harm has already been done. Keep in mind that you have a much higher chance of being accepted with your own text in "bad" English than with a plagiarized text in perfect English. You may appeal again in 30 days.

↩ FromTimeToTime The reason Ryan is asking for existing plugins here is that we currently really do not have enough development resources to be making our own implementations for everything, regardless of how much better it would be.

The sentence
QuoteIf you are banned from the Total Freedom Forum, read how to do that here: https://totalfreedom.me/emailappeal/index.html
has been changed to
QuoteIf you are banned from the Total Freedom Forum, send your ban appeal by email to banappeals@totalfreedom.me.
because the linked page no longer exists.

You might have noticed that I never really acknowledge this; that's not because I hate it, but because I would really like to avoid giving people the idea that I'm actually that full of myself. Memes are one thing, an event is another.
QuoteI posted an explanation when I was removed for inactivity, but most people won't be able to read it until ProBoards becomes accessible again, so here is the full text:
QuoteDisplay MoreYou may have noticed that I have been removed for inactivity. This is not laziness on my part; it was a conscious decision.
I think not many people know that the reason I climbed the ranks so fast is that I was once the most active admin, even above Marco. Back then, I set myself a requirement of administrating (not just being online) for 30 minutes every single day, and I held to it. You can call it ridiculous if you want, but I still technically have the time to do that. When I saw Seth's thread about activity enforcement, I looked at picking it back up, and decided against it because there are other things in life that should not be below a Minecraft server in priority. Don't think this was an easy decision: I have not been removed for inactivity once since 1 July 2015, making for a continuous service of 4 years and 2 weeks.
I stopped coming online because the admin to player ratio became higher and higher until messing around became more common than administrating simply because there wasn't anything to administrate. I don't enjoy messing around, I enjoy administrating 1 admin to 44 players and not even having time to do anything else than help players, and I simply don't get to experience that anymore on this server. I am grateful for people's efforts to fix this, but at the same time, those people know it hasn't worked as well as they had hoped.
I am not ready to leave this forum yet. Until further notice, I will continue to be as active as I have been, and I would have liked to continue to be active as a forum admin if that rank had not been taken away from me.
If you're curious about what exactly happened with my ranks, I will be posting a thread with the full story in the near future.

↩ @'Ryan' It looks like https://www.spigotmc.org/resources/bookrules.91272/ can do this.

Looking at the implementation, this plugin might actually not be a problem for privacy at all. The cameras are physically there in the world, so it's impossible that a player doesn't know that they are potentially being watched. On top of that, you can't create cameras remotely, only at your current location.

I guess we could very easily strip all NBT from the packages, but I'm not sure if the plugin is still useful then. If we do want NBT, then we need to be absolutely sure that all exploit mitigations we have in place are also applied to this plugin.

↩ @'Ryan' If we ever get to FS-9 (https://forum.totalfreedom.me/d/91-coin-shops), this can rather easily be included as part of it.

↩ @'Ryan' The problem is that people think that /skin is for changing your skin. Ideally it should give an unknown command message so there is no confusion.

The following question has been removed per https://forum.totalfreedom.me/…odifications-for-day-bans:
QuoteIf you answered a, b, d, e above, do you use any client mods or hacks? If yes, which ones?

The question has been removed.

For anyone else who is confused, this is Blassph / yukarisx.

↩ @'billy7oblos' A 3D game like Minecraft requires a graphics card (integrated or dedicated) to perform the calculations at a reasonable speed. It works perfectly fine without one, it's just unbearably slow.

The real headline is that Apple is introducing the ability to compare your images to a database of known bad images. "They're comparing patterns" and "They're comparing hashes" are in fact both oversimplifications of the real technical details, but it is true that you cannot avoid detection by slightly modifying the image, and it is also true that they cannot see images that have not been detected as suspicious.
Having said that, the problem people have with this is not that Apple is scanning for child pornography now, but that they could be scanning for LGBT content in the future in countries where the government doesn't like that.

Regardless of whether it's allowed, you're in the server voluntarily. If you disagree with their method, show it by leaving.

The votes are pretty clear. Keep in mind that a ban appeal is not just about the circumstances of your ban, but also about your current conduct. You may appeal again in 30 days.

↩ @'billy7oblos' Technically you can, but you really don't want that because like most servers, it doesn't have a graphics card.

↩ Folfy_Blue If you have 4 cores and 24GB RAM, there are not enough hours in a month to be able to exceed the cap.
