i want to know specifically why you think that MBs having more permissions than ops is a bad idea.
a “horrific idea" leading us "“down a bad path"
please explain instead of rephrasing what you said before

@wild1145#15079 I apologize for using caps your argument was just really weird.
it isn’t true that we only had rights during seths times i’ve been here since 2013 and mbs have always had more rights.
It’s weird how you call it a "“horrific idea "
what do you think is gonna happen if mbs get nbt paste?
list all of your concerns and why you think it’s bad that mbs are different from ops
@wild1145#15076
I don’t think you understand what an MB is.
We have always had more rights than OPs, and been given more permissions.
In the 10 year history of the server I don’t think a single person other than you has complained that MBs have too many rights over OPs.
MBs are the official builders of the server yet have to deal with the same restrictions as OPs which is pointless.
Admins have access to NBT paste and I almost applied for admin myself to get nbt paste because it would help me in my builds.
Less effort is required to apply for admin than mb and only 1 of them has nbt paste.
there is no reason to keep mbs from having nbt paste and it confuses my why you believe mbs are too powerful or something.
NOBODY IS COMPLAINING THAT MBS ARE DIFFERENT FROM OPS
@Tizz#15074 thank you!
@wild1145#15072 an mb has to go through the application process, being good at building, and it takes a lot of work for that application.
if an mb abuses it it’s simple, they get their mb rank taken away.
The mb’s are different than ops and in the past they have had more rights then them, such as //limit -1 and //brush which were disabled
having those was why i applied for mb, and it makes sense to provide mbs with the essential building tool of nbt paste.
Vouch
this was rejected before but it needs to be looked at again
this would be a dream if mb’s could use nbt paste
@wild1145#15040 what does it matter they’re gonna have to repair the same amount whether it’s rolled back or not lol
@wild1145#15034 well i’ll put up a tech support post requesting my 1.25 billion block region be copied and pasted into a plot ![]()
@Ashaz#15032 yes i agree
thats my point
@wild1145#15024 i would love to have a 4000 x 4000 block plot that is completely cleared down to bedrock
and then i would have to copy and paste 1.25 billion blocks if i wanted to move all my builds to the plot world
plus it is usually quite obvious whether a build is the only grief by a player and doesn’t need a full investigation
@wild1145#15020 there is an exceptionally good reason almost every time which is that an rb will cause more damage than the grief did
it is a lot of times just better to fix it by hand
The plot world is not a place most builders like building, and if you think that all players should just build there you don’t understand the guild culture of the server and how we have communities.
@wild1145#15017 no...
a griefer will a lot of times just affect my build and i’ll get a -nrb
i remember one time a guy came on a minor griefed spawn and someone’s build and my base
we both begged the admin not to rb and i fixed spawn by hand
it saved us a lot of work not having the rollback
it is absolutely a choice not to have an rb
if people are asking for one than yeah it would be acceptable but all the time the grief is specifically asked to be not rollbacked by the players, and there is no reason we shouldn’t have that choice.
@wild1145#15013
when i get griefed, i ask the admins to -nrb /gtfo
and then i fix it myself
it is a choice for people whether they want a rollback or not and a lot of times people will say no
@videogamesm12#15012 i know
than the typical approach can be used
this is a solution that can work if the player doesn’t leave
reread what i said
this won’t work 100% of the time, but it will work when they don’t leave.
@videogamesm12#15009 like i said before it’s not a solution 100% of the time, and it’s not a permanent fix.
but if a griefer doesn’t leave this would work
it would really help me
@wild1145#15008 why don’t we make this an optional thing
like i would love if my builds got griefed i can ask an admin to force undo the damage through gmcd and then /gtfo -nrb
like that would genuinely help me out
@videogamesm12#15004 well if the griefer doesn’t leave we should try it
its not a solution to the problem 100% of the time but it can really help out some people
if nobody else wants this to happen i would love it for myself personally
i don’t give a shit about lost coreprotect data because when a griefer is banned i always beg the admin not to rollback so my builds aren’t fucked further
@wild1145#15003
We’ve all lost hope,
so until the day it is fixed we should find an alternative way to fix griefs in my opinion.
instead of just accepting that we have a messed up system
@videogamesm12#14998 it’s been 8 months and i don’t think a single person believes it’s ever going to be fixed at this point
i think what we should do is get creative and think of different ways to fix griefs
@wild1145#14994 that’s why i said we should freeze them
its not a rollback it’s //undo which doesn’t coreprotect grief builds
when i //undo the data in stairs, glass panes, slabs etc. is saved
if we did that instead of rollbacking them which doesn’t work it would make saving builds possible
