  • Silum City Mayor Race

    Hey guys!


    Lately we have noticed Silum City is very quiet and to liven things up we are starting a mayoral race.


    On June 10th 2021 we are going to have an election for mayor of Silum City.


    We are going to have debates, advertising, campaigning, and a lot of drama.


    If you want to run for mayor of the city send a discord message to one of the TFGU guild leaders.


    (If you don’t know Silum City is the shared city between the guilds where the TFGU is located.)


    (TFGU is the TF Guilds Union btw)

  • Add a queue system

    This may seem like a very odd suggestion, and it kind of is.


    The server currently barely gets more than 15 people on at a time, so why should we add a queue system?


    Well, in the future as I understand we have big plans to grow the server to a larger community, of many many people online at once. If we want to reach that point we should make the server capable of accommodating that many people beforehand, instead of when it’s too late.


    So I suggest we just add some queue plugin that when you try to join freedom-01 or 02 if the server is full it’ll just like put you in a line to get in


    I think that making the server capable to host more people will make us feel more capable to bring in more people, and will overall make the server feel better suited for major growth rather than completely unprepared.


    This would have basically no effect on anyone until we get A TON more players, and we could probably add a veteran queue similar to what 2b2t had for people who joined before july 2021 to be at the very front of the line or something.


    A priority queue could also make the server some great revenue in the far far future.


    So yeah.

    @Ivan#18289 the problem with that is copy and pasting back and forth, and being in chats with people, and guilds.


    It’s really inconvenient for players to be on multiple servers.

    only admins can make permban requests


    and if you didn’t have evidence or anything they wouldn’t be banned, you need evidence for a permban request


    if it was obviously unserious, then there wouldn’t be any reason to ban the player


    this doesn’t need to be completely hard locked and 0 exceptions, but if a player is causing so much chaos they get a permban request from an admin, they shouldn’t be able to come on the server while awaiting a verdict, it’s just logical.

  • Tempban people who have open permban requests

    I just want to add this was a major problem for the imperium in december, when the infamous mass griefer hammelhopfenn was not banned yet, he had a week while his indef ban request was open, and in this week he logged in daily and reigned hell on every build on the server, and targeted the imperium especially, and there were often 0 admins online, leaving people to scramble around terrifiedly pinging admins.

    So currently a player named Onnikisu is online and being an asshole, and he has an active permban request that is soon to be approved.


    I think it makes no sense that if someone has done stuff bad enough to get a permban request that we just allow them to rejoin after 24h when they get banned.


    Like if someone has an active permban request I suggest we ban them from the server until either it’s denied and we will unban them, and if it’s accepted we hold the ban.


    I think this would help deal with mass griefers and server crashers much more effectively.
