Iirc the /report command pings admins in their own Discord server chat. During the testing of the Debate Channel, the Discord alert sound has been heard from the speaking admin as soon as I sent one. I believe it won't work if their status is set to Do not disturb or the channel is muted.
The Discord server rules clearly state that you can mention individual admins for issues that need to be solved. (It's mentioned you are allowed to ping an entire role for things like imminent threat to the server but normal users can't do that.)
The forum has a dedicated section for reporting problems that don't require an immediate response.
I believe the needed tools are already there, we just need to make the most out of them.
@Shdwo#13221 I think UnderTails's point was that appealing for a ban requires more effort than making a baseless report, and I think that this can be improved to minimize wrongful bans.
What I learned about Ria in 3 months (correct me if I'm wrong):
I vouch
The problem with this policy is that my guild's owner could have been banned for giving me the link to the guild's discord, even if it was relevant to the conversation we've had.
Imho there should be proof that the message was unsolicited before hitting with the ban hammer.
I support fionn's idea of changing the colors for direct messages (like it is for guild chat).
And the server name should be hidden when the two players are in the same one.
Yesterday some griefers literally wiped the spawn despite it being worldguarded. I did some tests and I managed to paste, replace and cut blocks in the current spawn in front of jawshfan and another admin (forgot which). I tried to place and break blocks the "classic" way and WorldGuard worked as expected.
@StevenNL2000#11206 This may be relevant, however I'm still trying to figure out if it works when entities are put with WorldEdit: ChunkBan exploit patch
I'll open a separate thread if it's actually useful
ETA: Also this one seems interesting
My Minecraft name: Tizz91
Date and time of ban: 2021-02-14 at 12:30:45 GMT+01:00
My recent activities (yesterday 2021-02-13):
Freedom-01: I helped another player decorating a small section in the Nether, decorated a wall near the /spawn location as instructed by a sign and built a house together with another player after he asked for help; besides that, I remember going around using /tp to see what other players were doing.
Freedom-02: I retouched my small build and watched what was happening in the current /spawn location iirc
Option a. Despite the ban report stating "griefing" as the reason, I didn't break others' builds on purpose and I'm sorry if I did so by accident. I only use the official client.
The admin who banned me is paiige1_ and i aren't been told anything as the ban was issued ~12h after I left the server.
I rewiewed and agreed to the server conduct policy and, again, apologize if I broke any rule by accident and promise to be more careful.
