Vouch, gamingto12 has shown he's competent enough to handle responsibilities as an admin in multiple occasions..

Actually it does.
Awesome but you need to provide instructions then. I see no difference in the channel as of now.

This version brings back the functionality the previous bot had
Does it finally manage player reports again? They've been stockpiling in the dedicated Discord channel with no way of clearing them.
-
Clay has a long experience as admin, and his development in his last year makes me believe he's ready for a position of responsibility.
Take my vouch and recommendation.

Large edits will take eternity to get done
That should be adjustable in the config. I recall you can change the async mode or the size of the chunks the jobs are divided into. Unless it was FAWE.

Beta_Alpha Just add an age requirement for multiplayer at this point. I'm pretty sure it isn't legal to let children under a certain age without use online services in most countries.
Well, actually the clause usually is "without parental supervision", but how are you enforcing it on a videogame?

We're late... again. I'll make this as quick as possible to let our players enjoy the results of their dedition!

I can't upload videos directly to this forum for some reason
I had to put the direct link in VLC because it's a .mkv file

I still support the idea of building a new db to preserve as much data about active members as possible and to let go of the remaining orphaned records after that.
We have a test machine available to do this without affecting the freedom server.

To learn more, please read the Microsoft Privacy Statement.
I bet Microsoft has to do with this.

Oh yeah TFM development's finally bitten in the ass
Whoever removed UUIDs from player data and punishments in the first place needs a lifetime supply of pineapple pizza

Do you live in a flat or close to the neighbours?
If so, install a wifi analyzer/scanner on your pc and see if your network overlaps with others. See which channel is less crowded or more distant from the occupied ones and manually set your router to use that.
-
what is the evidence
We basically went CSI mode with the client logs snippet Video already posted, timestamps, names, the TFM build running that time, BukkitTelnet's security... Video sums our conclusions up in his latest reply.
-
its all just technical jargon to me beyond that
After being explained so many times you claimed to try a function for cracked servers in a premium-only one, while in reality you broke into BukkitTelnet, since ranks can only be set through console commands?
please give me a second chance, its been too long
I'm not going to object to that.
-
I Was about to say "wrong template mate" but it looks like you added a 6th question to the new one.

Leaning on neutral because it's been long enough but you keep insisting you brute-forced AuthMe even if we don't have it, are a premium server and our logins are UUID and IP based.
-
A competent developer makes the code reusable so you don't have to write the same thing over and over again and don't have to recompile and test every command
Hold on, I recall you were the one manually replacing all node checks with TFM's IsAdmin()
Why not just set essentials.near.maxexempt as an explict negative?
To my understanding, the server isn't using permission nodes and the plugins won't detect TFM. If some of them need to behave differently according to the player's rank, we need to edit the plugin's code to query TFM.

How do I make this clear enough without people spewing the same thing over and over?
We share a lot of potentially sensitive info as evidence in ban requests. IP addresses are probably the least important of those.
-
so during seth’s tenure he worked out a way to make certain text readable by staff only. Is there no way to do that here?
It didn't actually work and was trivial to bypass. Likewise it doesn't solve the issue where it would then mean most of the evidence would be staff only, defeating the point of making them public at all.
This can be worked around by creating a new section similar to "Announcements" but dedicated to bans. Everything works as usual, and then who's responsible for the specific platforms' bans posts a public statement ("User X has been banned for Y time for Z")
Also, not everything needs to be public, some sections can be restricted to registered users only. If any famous forum out there is doing what is asked in here, it's hidden to guests, because I can't find anyone else publishing bans except a couple Italian forums.
why dont we put the ip in a seperate, admin-restricted thread, and the main ban request in public channels?
Read above, IP addresses isn't the only sensible info shared across the staff threads.
-
In the one week we were on mybb Seth made an extension to only show IPs to staff members. We should do the same here
Iirc it worked like spoilers, meaning things like inspecting the page or using the API would reveal it anyway.
It should work like one of those those e-mail filters. The message body itself should return something like [redacted] unless you belong to a staff group. I don't know if the forum allows direct data manipulation through plugins.
-
I honestly never saw a forum which does that for the public.
Some forums I visit make a thread for each ban in a dedicated public section. That way, forum staff can decide not to disclose sensible info that can harm any party on a case by case basis.
Neutral for the original suggestion.
