    I'm neutral on this. many people like myself have a dynamic ip address and with another minecraft account restart their router and they're in. i know thats a rare scenario but its a potential one

  • Easter Egg Hunt Event - 4th April

    i'm pretty sure most of you can read a calendar, i can but i can never pinpoint to you on a map when its Easter. i just know that Easter is around April and thats around the time i used to get chocolate eggs. not as many anymore unfortunately but thats besides the entire point here. in short, its Easter, and what better way to like do Easter then doing an Easter egg hunt.


    Master Builder bowie has got to work on a new arena for such an event to be partaken. the game is simple, run around and search for eggs and deposit them in your inventory only to have a force withdraw on yourselves in exchange for Coins. that's right instead of the potential to contribute to the high obesity levels of western societies by consuming your findings, you can instead get tax free currency that you can only spend with us. i mean capitalism is more healthier right so i mean that's one thing to be amused about.


    The event will start at: 4th April - 7:00PM GMT
    You will have 1 Hour to find as many eggs as you can. some will be more lucrative then others ranging from 10-500 depending on such a rarity. at the end all the contestants must meet where the game started to count the eggs found for each player. those with the most eggs will be featured in the announcement with an additional bonus to the top 3


    we will be watching over the event to ensure there is no use of any form of hacked clients or cheating finding such eggs. anyone who is caught cheating will be disqualified and coins will not be counted. i am aware there was concerns about the fact that part of the servers culture is hacked clients but from what im told, we're manually moderating the entire event


    The location of this arena will be announced in the server, discord's #event-announcements and this thread as per usual but expect it to be in Freedom-01

    We're planning to make event hosts hold the same sort of merit as master builders with its own policy and application process.

    i guess you do have a point with that and i feel we should've had a monthly thread with the most liked being implemented or some shit which'd be neat and promote some sort of community engagement.


    but i feel this is more infinitely more preferable to people as people want to add their own personal touches yknow rather then preset logins anyone and everyone can have.


    can i also say the current preset logins we have are fucking terrible, i counted atleast half of them being akin to some form of self deprecation. but this was awhile back so i might have to double check that

    i would say, this would not be a bad thing aslong as they dont focus on it like the main version and especially if windows phone was still around. i mean despite discord being browser based anyway this could get more users on discord


    my main worry is that they'll stomp all over discords current UI aesthetic with this fluent bullshit and enforce shit like microsoft account integration and intrigued on how they plan to support it

    i realize i haven't commented properly on this thread today even though i should've but i had a bit of college/woman/irl shit today and didn't want to get caught in some crossfire i kinda see both sides on. i probably should make some sort of statement anyway


    i get the concerns some of you brought up and all about temp ESL not making huge changes and all so the next actual ESL doesn't have to do cleanup work n shit or whatever but also like red said, there wasn't much of a status quo to begin with and if big man ryan wild says "ayo you got power n shit, dont fuck us ye" then im completely fine with this.


    i dont think we've got other huge changes in mind yet in terms of events or whatever and if we do we'll consider probably consider this a bit of a factor. we're likely going to still be going on with this event host revamp thing as i mean. its an idea i had i feel would help with more consistent events and given how frequent they have been lately i dont think anyone has any issue with this actual premise, rather just again concerns about the staff member with less then 10 months experience under his belt and the one month old assistant who admittedly has done alot for ESL since his yknow, appointment, making changes whilst his superior undergoes investigation. i get thats like a red flag to people but again i get rammed in the ass with a spiked baton if shit goes south and quite frankly i enjoy having an ass even if...


    yknow whatever i dont ACTUALLY know how graphic i can get before that actually does happen.


    TL;DR i get the concerns but ryan says its all okay and i feel its in the best interest right now of everyone including ourselves to have some sort of productivity
