    1. Bumping. Posting a single word or useless messages to bring our attention to a thread. Bumping is allowed if performed by the owner and admins to bring new attention to previous server rule threads, changes to a policy, etc. If you're bumping to get attention to a post that already gets attention, to begin with, the bump message and/or thread will be deleted.

RedEastWood This is a lie. You have heavily moderated a shit load of threads before, deleting mass numbers of posts on a thread. Don’t tell me you locked the entire thread because I posted “Bump”.

Even if that is true, I eagerly await your response to this thread.

Was the only reason it was locked. It's continued to be pointlessly bumped and recently by yourself for example in violation of the forum conduct policy. It'll remain locked and be used to post updates as appropriate.

Thread was locked because you were power posting by bumping it less than 24 hours, and before I had a chance to write a proper update, which is in violation of the forum conduct policy. Since flarum doesn't have warnings / similar, locking the thread was the only way to stop the continued power posting on the thread.

Tizz The trouble with Telnet and HTTPD is that they work on unencrypted connections so sending passwords and such in plain text on the internet is a big no-no.

That's mostly because of the legacy setup. We have a task to look at re-designing the entire way HTTPD works, part of that will cover moving so everything is TLS protected, and part of that will be working out the best way to do auth with it. I suspect in the long term we may be able to use WoltLab when we move to it as the identity provider, so as long as you're logged in with WoltLab you're logged in to the HTTPD server.

I've updated with 2 dates in June, the good news is the work to archive CoreProtect Data seems to be working well and we've seen a decent drop in the database size, though Freedom-01 maps are slowly continuing to creep up which is not a surprise, but isn't the ideal case either.

For those curious, this is TF's usage of the core MySQL Database over time:

RedEastWood Given the current priorities are (And are in this order)

    1) Java 16 Support for all plugins
    2) 1.17 Upgrade
    3) Animated Frames Modifications

The 3rd one there is the only one that has any budging room and given the number of people who have wanted it, and the fact it'd actually be pretty neat to have working and offer something a bit unique compared to most things, feels like a good setup.

The priorities are regularly shared and if people really wanted stuff prioritised then they should have that conversation with me and Fleek, and we can work out between us if that's doable.

Not sure that's actually going to really help... We prioritise the tasks regularly based on the impact we think it will have to the network, and aim to target those tickets which are either outstanding for extended amounts of time, or that are going to provide a significant impact to our user base. Closing suggestions while it does give the team a chance to catch-up, it could easily be 12-18 months currently at the pace we're working at, and I'm not really convinced this solution is going to speed that up, or keep players actually happy with the server.

Our boards are (hopefully still) open for people to see, and we post what we have planned for upcoming releases before we start on them, if there are tickets that people really want to see then there's a discord chat to discuss that sort of stuff and we can take that feedback onboard.
