Further to the various reviews and announcements which have already happened, I can confirm we will no longer be looking to explore the possibility of standing up a pixelmon server to join the tf ecosystem.

This is because based on feedback from the community and the clear instruction to focus on the FreeOP game mode, this would directly contradict such a move, and given it is unlikely to be able to be joined directly from the FreeOP game mode means the work to implement such a game mode is no longer viable or worth while.

And I don't doubt we could do something like this, my point was more that the world doesn't end so there isn't an "edge" to it. We could do all sorts but having various biomes around one on the grounds none of them should ever end would be weird.

Worth also noting currently flatlands is literally infinite so there is no "edge" as it were.

We've now moved the Skyblock server on to TF's infrastructure provided by Superior-Networks.

For our users, you should see no difference if you are connecting in a totalfreedom.me address. For any users connecting on the old address, for a short amount of time it will now disconnect you and ask you to re-connect using the new IP while the legacy server is operational.

This should start to resolve the TPS issues, it looks like the original host used had very poor CPU and disk performance, which was causing the server to be less than ideal.

We will over the coming weeks continue to improve the stability and reliability of the Skyblock server as we are aware there is still some work to be done to improve.

↩  Tizz That was one of the purposes of freedom 2. The community have been against servers which aren't freedom 1 so it means folks will have to sit in the hub for the most part now... It's shit but tis what tis.

No, it was canned because of the reaction to servers we had absorbed. The community have spoken and dictated that we improve FreeOP at any cost, so that's what we're doing. Anything which doesn't feed towards that goal or is now not going to be sensible to run because of our limited growth is being canned until further notice.

↩  Luke We announced it as part of one of the events a few weeks back. It's something I'd been working on quietly for a month or two when I had time. Was about 95% there.

↩  FromTimeToTime Because Hub-01 was at one point a server, as currently is Hub-02. We don't re-use server names for various reasons, the main one being it gets confusing when you look at service history on our status pages.

As per the other threads, as part of a review into the infrastructure and deployment of the TF Network, we will be removing Freedom-02 from the TF Network.

This will mean we will no longer have resiliency should Freedom-01 be down for planned maintenance or as a result of an unplanned outage, and will mean we will no longer have a less populated environment to test new TFM releases (Therefore we will go back to release testing on live).

I appreciate a lot of folks will be happy, I personally think it's crap but it seems it's what everyone else wants...

↩  lyicx That was decommissioned when we moved to new infrastructure some time ago.

Again in line with the work we're doing to review the projects and infrastructure we have in place, I unfortunately have to announce that we will no longer be continuing with the release of an Anarchy Orientated gamemode which was due to be released in the near future.

The vast majority of the work to enable such a gamemode was complete already, however I've decided that in the current climate it is no longer a viable proposition to progress with.

In line with various changes that are currently being made to reduce excess cost and capacity from the TF Network we will be removing Hub-02 and decommissioning it.

This should have no real impact to our users as Hub-03 will remain operational, however will mean we will no longer be able to perform rolling upgrades on the hub infrastructure, and there will no longer be any resilience of the hub infrastructure.

If the community refuse any attempts at growth then we sorta can be... There are limited options to maintain a server when the community block my every attempt at growing the server.

I can't see the smp or nearly any other game mode being viable for the time being.

↩  Miwojedk They aren't, but I don't think it's reasonable to call them both the same in terms of a title / rank / whatever. Someone may hold both but from my perspective at least both options achieve two different outcomes.
