If someone can provide a sane solution to re-enable NBT that The dev team, @"videogamesm12"#4 and @"Panther"#54 are all content with (Because I sure as hell don't know enough about NBT to be an authority on the matter) then we can roll with it, but that is and continues to be my position on the matter. I don't mind re-enabling it, but we need to be able to safeguard the server...

Intentionally post this shit in the wrong place again and I'll give you a couple of days banned here.

I've had to do a few moderation's to this thread. Can we please keep it civil when we're having a reasonable discussion...

We do have some lists like this FWIW, and there are also chances that IP's overlap / similar in the indef ban list. It's useful to get an IP address to make sure it's not actually associated with other accounts that have been permbanned for other reasons, and if so you can make sure they're not being banned for someone elses ban for example.

This is already going increasingly up my priority list. We had hoped by now that it would have been possible to have all the integration work done but it has not happened. I need to figure some bits out first but yes, we will be looking to bring some folks on to help moderate the hub going forward.

↩ Folfy_Blue Plot merge should (I think I mentioned this above), Plot download should as well, I need to look at why that currently doesn't work but is certainly one we would want to have working as part of go-live.
-
↩ characterslimits The plot world is not a testing ground. We won't be testing things like Airplane on it. The plot server will be deemed a production server, in the same way Freedom-01 and Hub-03 are...

↩ characterslimits Video was not a forum moderator, and they had permission to create threads, re-tag and other things.
It's a specific permission node that you need in addition to "Move posts" "re-tag posts" and "Create post" which made no sense.
Flarum's permissions system is the single worst forum permission system I have had the misfortune to use.
But none the less, the question has been answered as to why Video did temporarily have forum admin and mod perms.

↩ characterslimits Actually it's a bit more than that, WorldGuard doesn't play well in a FreeOP Environment, which is why we do have so many issues.
And 1.17 doesn't increase the build limit, that's been pushed to 1.18. The 1.17 support is a alpha as I recall which may be incompatible with the 1.18 worlds.
↩ Darth True, they can, but it's a huge amount of manual work. I spent a couple of days (And a few hours each day) trying to clean up out current plot world and it's just a pain. Much easier to stop people creating the mess in the first place which is the goal here.
↩ man As I think I answered before, that won't be the case initially because of the custom TFM role management. It will be a separate staff team.
-
↩ Darth It's a crap argument because Plots != Freedom.
We need to strike a balance between not having shit loads of empty plots because people can land grab like the current plot world, while still making it easy enough to get the space people need / want. It's something I've got some thoughts on but haven't quite decided 100% what I want to do with.

↩ characterslimits Because we had tested the permissions originally. There was an incident where a forum admin accidently wiped them and we rebuilt them. Unfortunately flarum permission system is one of the worst I've ever used and is much much harder to work with than it should be. The issue here for example is we had to grant the eao role the ability to create new threads with an approved / denied tag without approval, which makes no sense for moving threads around.

↩ videogamesm12 the point is we wanted a fresh start to the world. It's not worth the significant amounts of effort to transform the current world, and would limit us to the same plot sizes which at the moment isn't the current plan.
-
↩ videogamesm12 the current plot world is half broken due to config and the fact it was originally offline mode...
