The issue is by default flarum won't copy formatting iirc. So people just continue to copy poorly formatted applications. Removing the threads and using something else had been on the cards when we were looking at a new forum but isn't something so practical here.

FromTimeToTime This was an experiment to see if Jira would let us keep the project settings after the trial ended, evidently not so unfortunately they're weren't visible after the trial ended, which is rubbish. Unfortunately the cost of Jira cloud is $$$ and not something worth investing in for the size of our team.

HopeGamer10 you have been indefinitely banned... So you won't get a 1 day ban now no matter what. Your appeal will be reviewed as appropriate once folks have had time to comment on it and a decision will be reached.

characterslimits Since when that was rule? I thought that was only for applications

Since I told them to because they are power posting and will get an indef forum ban if they keep on.

characterslimits I disagree with this. Putting a long cooldown is actually going to make things worse, I don't want him to come back yelling at everyone just because he couldn't appeal. I say instead we impose the normal 30 day cooldown like everyone else gets.

This is an INDEFINITE ban... They're designed to be permanent and appealed by exception. There's no standard cool down because the user is perm banned from our community for a reason...

We have more than enough people... 10 mins to respond to an issue is not bad at all. We aren't here 24/7/365 and you all just need to get over yourselves.

Stop panic reacting to one off issues.

As you will be aware, we've had a couple of changes within the executive team as of this evening.

I'd like to start off by thanking both @"elmon"#17 and @"RedEastWood"#47 for their outstanding work as executives to date, and thank you again for your service to TotalFreedom to date.

Elmon will continue to work with our teams from a development and Discord perspective to help administer the Discord, and ensure we have appropriate bots to help meet our bespoke needs.

With all of this in mind, I'm excited to make a couple of announcements.

@"videogamesm12"#4 is going to be picking up the EAO role in an interim position until further notice.

@"Panther"#54 will be joining the executive team as the interim Executive Marketing Manager, again until further notice.

Please join me in offering my congratulations to Video & Panther, and wish them both every success in their respective roles.

As we start to grow out the network, it's becoming increasingly clear that for some of our "Non Core" Gamemodes and services (Development server and Skyblock to name a couple) are lacking somewhat in systems administration support due to constraints on my time.

I will be looking to bring on a systems administrator (Potentially multiple if there are suitable candidates) who will be interested in supporting server managers and myself in various aspects of the server.

All of our infrastructure is currently CentOS based and uses some bespoke security settings through tools like FreeIPA to enforce access management across the estate, so some experience is going to be really required.

If you are interested in this role please create a thread in this tag (Applications (Other) --> Limited Time Applications) titled " - Sys Admin Application" and answer the following questions

    1. What is your MC IGN
    2. What TimeZone are you in
    3. What experience have you got in Infrastructure / Systems administration in general
    4. What experience have you got in Minecraft server administration
    5. Why do you want the role.

For the record - I now also object. The dude's been spam adding me as a friend on Discord and harassing executives to try to circumvent the appeals process. They are claiming their autism is why we have to un-ban them and that they couldn't possibly be held to the same standards as the rest of the player base, which I ultimately disagree with.

My suggestion would be a minimum appeal window of 90+ Days given the behaviour in response to this thread and the original ban.

@"Nathan"#499 Please don't reply to this thread unless you've been asked a question or if someone has made a statement that you believe to be false.
