I want to bump this, because right now it seems things have gone back to "Business As Usual" like it was 2 weeks ago. If folks can't step up and help out then that's fine but it puts us back to square one.
We saw a little uptick in players as a result of all this drama, your assistance is still needed to make our Minecraft offering a sustainable one.

↩ Zarcana It will be, there's going to end up needing to be some re-work but the goal will be that the guilds will be persistent cross-game mode as long as you're on the network.
Some things like Guild chats may end up remaining local to the specific server for the time being, but yeah, the goal is we make the guilds universal throughout the network.

The following guilds have been identified as having 0 members, and therefore aren't actually guilds, but glorified tags... These will be deleted in 1 weeks time unless they have 2 or more members (Which can include the owner).
I've done some re-jigging. The new criteria will be guilds that either have 0 members, or where the only member is also the owner. As long as the guild has 1 member that is not the owner or more, it will be retained.

Over the coming weeks we're going to be looking to make some changes to help better support guilds across the TF Network.
For many of our regular players, the Guilds play a huge part of their engagement with us on the server, and I'm keen that as we hopefully progress into the future, we can better foster these communities. We don't intend to replace any of the existing ways our guilds communicate, and I'm aware most guilds have their own communities that are larger than just what they do here in TF.
As part of some of the new game modes that we have been considering for the last year the existing Guilds are planned to make up a huge part of this especially in some of the longer running game modes. We will be looking to help foster some healthy competition between these guilds.
To start off this process, I've asked Nick who oversees the day to day management of our Discord community to start putting the steps in place for us to properly accommodate the guilds within our Discord, and while for many of our existing guilds this will not be something of huge use (As they will have their own Discords or things like TFGU) it will help bring all guilds together into a single platform and to enable some of the smaller guilds to start to grow.
In the coming days and weeks you will hopefully start to see these changes take affect and we look forward to bringing announcements to you in the near future when we can start to progress with these exciting new game modes!

I'm pleased to announce that @"Hooke_"#417 will be coming to join us as the manager of the Skyblock gamemode. As the original creator of the gamemode prior to its integration into the TF Network I can't think of anyone more suitable for the role.
Hooke will be responsible for the day to day running of the gamemode and will work closely with a number of the existing executives and myself to help make the gamemode a success.
Please join me in congratulating Hooke on this position and I wish them every success in this new role.

So there is a Tiaga instance stood up, but I think I'll end up retiring it anyway now.
Atlassian have given us an open source license for Jira & Confluence which is really great and will let us continue to support access to tickets without logging in, and allow us to add a more significant number of folks in the future to help us better organise.
Hopefully that's solved what the actual crux of this suggestion was about, so will close this now as approved, though actually delivering the ask via Jira rather than Tiaga.

If you want to use cloud take a look at BackBlaze, I use their business plans for things like the world download tool and it's pretty affordable, but they have a personal backup plan which is pretty cheap for what you get.
Edit: Steven already linked it, but yeah, would rec that.

↩ DragonSlayer2189 You don't need to add the 0. So FS-1, FS-10, FS-100, FS-1000 are all the valid URL's for those references.
-
When we approve suggestions, we will give them a "FS-XYZ" Reference, this is what we use on Jira to help us manage our tasking and ensure tickets are not lost.
Our Atlassian subscription has now changed as we've been able to provide evidence that we are developing open source software, and as such you will always going forward be able to directly find the status of your FS Ticket number.
You just need to go to the following link, replacing the FS reference with the one from your suggestion: https://totalfreedom.atlassian.net/browse/FS-XYZ

Think from what I saw it's a huge bgp routing issue so the DNS records exist but we can't access the DNS servers due to routing issues.
Pretty scarily common on the internet tbh...

The activity check process had changed. Then we changed eao and aeao so I think this might have simply got lost in the chaos.
The intent though is not to go back to blindly removing folks but to use the checks as a point at which we need to be asking people why they're inactive.

There's a really good episode Adam Savage did on nitroglycerin, shows it's also quite a bit harder to make go bang than the movies show (Though certainly isn't something you want to be fucking with)
