↩ @'billy7oblos' You've yet to provide any reason why not... The only reason I'd consider redacting them globally is if it's a GDPR issue or if there is consensus that the community is happy for these to take place in the admin section.

I'm generally unhappy with the idea of splitting them because things will go wrong because human error is a thing, and if you don't want your IP in an IBR then don't break the rules and get one raised against you...

The declining player base, lack of developers and ongoing abuse all really had nothing to do with it. The forums seemingly dedicated to slandering my name was clearly the only reason I decided to try to kill the server.

In which case it might be worse... Given ip addresses help to confirm the user is who they really are and can't claim they were hacked, I'd argue modifying the punishment logs to react information on posts is inappropriate.

You're right though, it does take the "teeth" out of the ownership policy and basically means technically if I don't want to hand the control of the server over, there's nothing compelling me to do so now.

Mark had no interest in retaining control any longer, and when I sought his approval to wind down TF, he was in agreement with me that TF may have had its day. It was a case of it being transferred to my ownership, or control of the domain potentially falling to another "Old timer" or just being left to expire, the last case there being the worst possible one in my view as it would make it impossible to keep any aspect to TF effectively running into the future.

The ownership policy will need a re-visit, and will need a re-visit any way with some of the changes I'm planning to introduce to make it actually useful again going forward, but that's not something that needs to be sorted here.

Just to let folks know, I intend on being somewhat inactive / on a break for the coming few weeks. It's been on the list of things to do for a while, and taking myself away for a few weeks to have some time to myself, and to hopefully work on some projects that I just haven't had time to work on while running TF is going to be the plan.

I am probably going to be returning back to an active state somewhere in the first week of November (Subject to change though).

During the next few weeks you might still see me around, but I will likely be harder to get a hold of, there are some TF related projects I'll probably be spending some time on, but also a lot of non TF stuff.

In my absence @"StevenNL2000"#2 and @"videogamesm12"#4 will take on an interim ownership position as between them they should have all accesses required to keep things going in my absence, and they've both proved over the many years of being in the community that they have the trust and respect of the community to keep things going in my short absence.

If there are major issues that require my attention, Video & Steven will be able to reach me either directly or via someone at ATLAS so I'm not totally off-grid, just not planning on being here much!

↩  RedEastWood Doesn't mean we can make a process demanding discord without changing the admin requirements. We do afaik have admins that aren't in the discord. I have spoken with @"videogamesm12"#4 about changing the minimum admin requirements, if he wants to make discord mandatory then that's fine.

The fact the developers haven't wanted to do it is why it's not been done...
