I think there was conversation about customising an existing plugin to hook in with the TFM coins system, but I had asked it not be looked at until the ticket around working out the long term economy solution across the network was looked at, as it might mean we don't need to customise a plugin in the first place.

I think this is a good idea, I just don't think now is the time to do it myself.

Tizz I guess direct connetion to freedom server using freedom.play.totalfreedom.me is still possible.

It will be, there might just be some weird behaviour was I guess the main warning. Some players will start to find themselves kicked from the network going forward when the Freedom server is down / they're kicked from there, and tomorrow some folks might just struggle to get in using our normal IP's.

As part of the new plot world I'm hoping to pull together some "Premier" builds that have been made across the community.

If you have a build that (Ideally) can fit within a 25 x 25 Plot, and you think that it's awesome and showcases the creativity of our community, I'd like to hear from you on this thread.

We're intending on having over 40 plots surrounding the new plot server spawn with a range of show-cased builds, and these may well change and evolve over time as the plot server grows, but I'm keen to get as many awesome builds as possible.

If you think your build qualifies, all I want here is a screenshot of the build (Or a couple) on a reply to this thread, and feel free to include some text as to what it is and why you think it's awesome.

I need the builds to be submitted by the end of this week, as I'm starting to reach the point that I need to properly production-test the new server, and getting the builds in and complete will form a part of that.

Can't wait to see what you all have :)

Apologies for the short notice, I'm going to be updating the hub tomorrow at 2PM to update the hub with the work the MB Team have completed, and as part of that the server and it's plugins will be updated to Minecraft 1.17. There's quite a bit of work to do as part of this update, so we're expecting it might well take a couple of hours. As we don't have a dev server for the hub server it might also be a bit of trial and error.

Updates will be posted here: https://status.atlas-media.co.…021-12-05-tf-hub-updates/

I've updated the spreadsheet linked in the original post. The only currently missing data is on the overworld world size pending the outcome of the current world optimisation that Steven is undertaking, I'll add the world size when that's complete.

taah You've yet to actually provide any reason to even entertain this.

There's no need for a Dev proxy when the developers are all for the freedom game mode only...

I don't see how this is going to give any noticeable benefits to our players and instead it just creates more work on me for no benefit...

Nobody here has provided a reason to waste time doing this given the huge amount of other work that is user facing where our time can be better used...

videogamesm12 But that's not happening is it... The bungee only goes down when I take it down for maintenance. It has never come close to hitting performance issues and nobody has ever complained about poor user experiences.

That's my point, this is a pointless activity that creates work for no tangible reward.

Ivan It's not a hot swap... It requires testing and verifying that it doesn't fuck things up which it is already known to in our environment.

I don't get this obsession of trying to optimise parts of our network that doesn't need it because we rarely have more than 20 concurrent players.

As I said on discord right now there's no real urgency to change from my perspective. I personally think we have bigger fish to fry than trying to squeeze performance out of something that is already heavily under-utilized due to our tiny active playerbase.

@'FT ' So most of that is done manually anyway. Tab messages, MOTD, Announcements and all that sort of stuff is all handled already in NM.

The answer atm is we want to push as much stuff to NM as we can as config, and if we need new features we get feature requests in with the developer who tends to be reasonably responsive to these sorts of things, makes more sense than adding it to the huge backlog of dev tasks and allows Steven to use the development team to improve the Freedom gamemode as a focus.
