I'm going to lock this at this point. Its no longer on topic and it's clear it won't naturally make its way back there.

I am simply saying that's what I recall being the outcome previously. I may be mis-remembering, I'm just saying that's what the outcome I think was previously.
-
IIRC your last appeal was denied because the TOS Require you to be 16 to use their platform? I'd have to check with simplynick but I'm 99% sure that was the case.

To update.
The NM Issue we have mitigated, and we have some steps we will put in place to protect what we believe to be the "Weak" component, which will hopefully prevent it from being exploited again in the future.
-
The forums we have been able to re-build the forums on to new infrastructure and with a tighter security configuration to help protect it from these attacks, while this does mean it is more brittle and risks breaking in the longer term, it does in the short term help mitigate the attack, and we can re-visit the security settings when we eventually move off of Flarum.
-
With this in mind, I'm going to un-sticky this thread, as I think all ongoing incidents are now closed or mitigated.
Thanks for your understanding folks, it's greatly appreciated as always.

Just to confirm, @"Charge"#437 will be taking on the role as the acting Executive Community Manager for the Freedom server.
In Steven's current absence and with the unexpected resignation of Lyicx, Charge is currently positioned to take on the role until such a time we are ready to work through the longer term role.
Any issues reach out to me or Charge.

https://forum.totalfreedom.me/d/2943-a-small-suggestion Has additional context as well.
I will bump this rather than approve, but I also am supportive of this idea subject to having some form of "baseline" for how we determine the length of a sanction, and likewise if it's something that the requester of the ban decides or how that works.

Denied in favour of progressing https://forum.totalfreedom.me/…te-bans-to-long-term-bans

I'm not a fan of zero tolerance on things like this for the reasons outlined. The new conduct policy should clear this position up generally anyway

Idea is not elaborated to the point it could be reasonably voted on so declined.
-
Approved, FS-483 raised on the dev board to add some form of secondary confirmation to disbanding guilds.
-
So right now I don't think this is the direction people want TF to be going down, we do have a plots world (I know it's broken) and will soon have a plots server, where a lot of the current pains people are having will be resolved so merging / similar will be possible.
-
FS-437 raised on the dev board to first off check if the issue is resolved, and then to either patch it in our Fork of EssentialsX or to just un-block it if it is already patched.
-
I like the idea, and it seems to have general approval.
FS-433 = Ally with guilds
FS-434 = Declare war on other guilds
FS-435 = (maybe if it's possible) Ally Guilds chat
FS-436 = Declare peace with a guild you have declared war with.

General view seems to be we have a range of commands to facilitate either purging pets or not. Will decline this but happy to re-visit in the future.

↩ Tizz I think so. All of the legacy restrictions still exist.
↩ @'Jebus' Because that tends to be ineffective. Preventing the posts from being public until manually approved is the best way to ensure people aren't just creating accounts to abuse them, and requires people to put a decent amount of effort into getting to the point they could actually spam / abuse.
-
↩ @'Jebus' Because they're easy to bypass when we're also trying to prevent human beings spamming the forums by hand.
-
↩ @'Jebus' That's automatic and designed to help prevent spambots. The first handful of threads and replies have to be approved, after that you're good to go unless we increase the threshold.
