Apologies, I haven't forgotten about this, unfortunately other priorities have jumped above this on my list, I'll pick this back up properly very shortly and engage with all of you that expressed an interest to see what we can achieve between us ![]()

I'm going to step in here and "Veto" the appeal in Luke's favour, frankly he's been around the block more than a few times and I trust his judgement on this, that combined with the various other reports and flags that this thread and your Discord account had, at this point if you're not the individual in question, I don't think there is anything you could reasonably do to convince people here of that, and as such the ability for you to "Fit in" to the community is going to be pretty limited.
If you are indeed not the individual accused, then I offer you my apologies, and you're most welcome to appeal in the future (Minimum of 60 days from now), however I find it difficult to support this appeal, especially given the current climate and context.
Appeal is denied, forum account is banned.

While I still don't personally see silent flags as a good thing especially when we want to encourage transparency, I can see the benefits in this case. Approved, FS-439 raised.

I'm going to deny this specific suggestion.
While I agree with the principle of off-loading work out of TFM, moving it to maintain a different plugin is in my view an even worse situation for us to land ourselves in. I've had conversations with videogamesm12 and Paldiu at some length about the longer term strategy for development, as I believe Steven has as well.
I think yes moving reactions out of TFM is a goal, all be it a fairly low priority one and if / when we do, it needs to be in such a way that means we can use a "Off the shelf" plugin rather than having to continue to home cook something. Even if that means we have hooks from TFM into said plugin if we have to do some "All Op Shenanigans" to make it work nice.

I don't personally think this has been a major problem as of late, and if it becomes one the owner / ban manager can always impose a mandated "Break" that will last a minimum amount of time in cases that the individual is disruptive to the community through the process of "Yo-Yo'ing" between self-request and appeals.
Happy to re-visit in the future if it becomes a regular problem, but I think for now making use of "Mandated Breaks" makes more sense on a case by case rather than a blanket minimum.

On the grounds StevenNL2000 has picked up the owner role on the Freedom server, and this is where the suggestion I think primarily currently applies I'll leave it for him to make a final decision as it'll depend on how he intends to run the executive branch longer term.
I will say in some cases, the server just isn't setup for scenarios where Executives are not admins, so exceptions to this rule (If passed) may need to be made where we have executives actively fulfilling their duties as an executive, but not in game as an administrator and where some form of elevated privileges are required, but I don't think it's likely to be common as a scenario. There are also issues where some roles realistically need to hold admin level privileges currently due to limitations in how Flarum works (For example the EAO couldn't be a non-senior admin because Flarum can't allow me to share the EAO Role perms to a sub-board of the senior area without exposing all of it)
But yes, TLDR it's now Steven's decision and he can weigh up the pro's and con's
(Also bump for anyone else that wants to chime in on this)

I'm more impressed you bothered to go look my companies accounts up and understood how to read them.
I'd also just remind you there is a difference between a company running at an operational loss, and my being in any personal financial difficulties or not.

Hi Folks,
Apologies for some delay in actually addressing this, I've been away for a long weekend and haven't had time before now to look into this issue, much less put something in place to mitigate it.
We've been made aware that some users that appear to have signed up for accounts in some other communities where the e-mail address is the same as the one with the forums here have been targeted with password reset spam from our forum software.
Unfortunately Flarum does not natively support any sort of rate limiting / cool-downs when it comes to these password resets, while this is concerning and somewhat unfortunate it does mean this isn't a simple fix.
As a temporary tactical solution to ensure users are not able to be targeted further with such spam, we've made configuration changes to our server, and are actively preventing password resets from being triggered. Users will temporarily see something similar to this screen-shot if they attempt a password reset:
We are going to be flagging this back to Flarum's developers to see if there is a recommended solution in this case, as it's clearly been abused by hostile actors and there is frankly no reason any legitimate user would need to trigger a password reset 100+ times in under 60 seconds…
As we're all aware though, Flarum haven't historically been great at remedying these sorts of issues, so we're going to be looking at making some further server configuration changes to our Flarum instance, in the hopes that we can "Patch" the problem and mandate some form of rate limiting that will at the very least make it harder to abuse this issue in the future.
The root cause of the issue appears to be users signing up with the same e-mail, as a recommendation I would suggest if you're signing up for new websites / services, you should consider "Alias" e-mails, Goole have a few ways to do this on GMail, the most common being the "+" symbol in e-mail addresses (In the screen shot it could have been ryan+totalfreedomforums@gmail.com) and that way these sorts of attacks can be mitigated (Plus if you suddenly find accounts "Compromised" but you're not sure where from, the e-mail address will be a dead give-away!)
ProtonMail have something similar, and allows you to reply to e-mails you receive from that e-mail: https://protonmail.com/support…se/addresses-and-aliases/
Outlook.com also appears to have something similar, but I unfortunately can't find a direct source, so your milage may vary - https://www.ghacks.net/2013/09…mail-aliases-outlook-com/

It shouldn't be. The custom essentials hides things like ips iirc. I don't think we add any custom commands. We used to but I'm fairly sure we use vanilla commands now?
I need to check if we could just go back to the vanilla gamemode command and all that good stuff anyway as I think the spectator mode and ability to potentially change someone else's game mode but I would imagine we could patch those in command blocker.

↩ @'wxtermelon' No. Right now it's intentionally globally pinned. It'll be reduced to a standard post in the coming days when we're happy everyone has been able to see this.

↩ @'wxtermelon' /togglecf exists,
It does? That's news to me. Well...
Edit: Wait I mis read. That's the global toggle right not player specific?

Denied. User was told to take a break after their actions in the server, they are welcome back after 4th March.
I'm also going to go ahead and extend this break to all platforms, because it's clear the user still very much needs a break from TF as it's impacting their real life.

So something like Wix isn't something that meets the basic requirements in the first post. Just don't want people spending time on the assumption it might make it to production when in reality it never will.

Just a quick note that as part of me trying to free up my time on TF to focus on new game-modes and other network wide priorities, I'm pleased to announce that erin will be picking up the "Head Of Staff" role for the Hub Game-mode.
Erin will be doing the equivalent role to the "Executive Admin Officer" for our Freedom game-mode, but with a focus on our hub staff, ensuring we have enough people and the right people for the role. Erin will also hold all powers to decide on the state of our hub staff, and has full power for promotions / demotions and sanctions.
It's expected Erin will work closely with the Freedom EAO as well as myself as the current Hub Game-Mode owner. It's also worth noting this doesn't exclude Erin from holding other Executive / Assistant Executive roles on the Freedom or future game-modes just for clarity.
Please join me in congratulating Erin on this position.

It's something we've been trialling but haven't rolled out further. There have been some snags we've been working through but nothing impossible.
I think the long term aspiration is also to replace most if not all of the tfm discord integration with this or a similar solution so yeah no objections from me.
