This is an add-on I tried to add some time ago but didn't work at the time. It now is working and I've been able to use it without issue.
It's worth noting the options are fairly limited, and doesn't support YubiKeys / similar, just TOTP generation, so fine for google authenticator and similar, but not going to play nice with hardware / other types of MFA.
I'd strongly recommend everyone enable this from a security perspective, and staff should expect in the near future that this will be mandated for staff in policy.
To activate, login to the forums, click your profile at the top right and click "Settings", click "Two Factor" and scan the QR Code (Or click Manual if you use apps that don't have scanning functionality) and it'll prompt you for your password and the TOTP Token at that time.
Any issues with it let the forum team know, but it should work for everyone at the moment.
Registration has now been re-opened. We've added some additional security measures to help protect us against spam account registration going forward.
Password reset functionality has now been restored with some additional security steps in place, this should minimise the ability to abuse the function in the future. Apologies for the inconvenience of having this disabled.
Right now I am somewhat reluctant to be changing the logo because we do that so frequently and it's really not great from a brand identity position.
I agree the current logo could use improvement and I've seen some excellent suggestions, so it may well be we identify something that looks good and it goes on ice for a little bit until I'm ready to roll such a change out.
Were running fawe on the plots server, so with this core protect enhancement it makes that a much better experience.
Would probably suggest piloting it on that server and as long as nothing major goes wrong I'd roll it out as standard personally but happy for people to disagree.
Just to say I haven't forgotten about this. Other more pressing matters have come up which is why I haven't reached out to people. I will be in touch with people shortly (hopefully!) to talk through what I have in mind.
Original flatlands have now been restored to the server with the known instance of the issue resolved. The one we had up for the last couple of days I'll get archived and published as soon as I have energy to do so.
↩ @'wxtermelon' No the ticket was closed as "Done" and was totally fucked up when it was added. In theory someone with server access can just to toggle the discord integration off in config but this is a bit different.
We had a ticket to do this as config (Which would have been enough) the issue is the discord integration is all mangled, and disabling it actually disables more than it should… But yes, I agree this should be fixed.
Quote↩ videogamesm12 I tried looking for a way to fix this to no avail, so unless PlotSquared offers a way to check if a player is in a plot that they own, I’m not sure how I would properly resolve this issue.
Probably to just block Trail in plotworld entirely. Though that won't be an issue for long as the plan is as part of 1.18 the dedicated plots server should go live hopefully.
Due to an attack against our forum infrastructure overnight, I've taken the the decision to temporarily remove the ability to sign up for new accounts.
Due to oversights in Flarum on how their API rate limiting works, attackers were able to programmatically create and verify over 1800 new accounts overnight, which I suspect would have ultimately been used for spamming. Flarum has plans to fix this issue, but no timeline as of yet on when.
I'll look this evening to see if I can put our own work-around in place to rate limit these endpoints, which will also resolve the issue with password resets hopefully.
For those without accounts that wish to appeal a ban, please either ask someone in the discord to post it on your behalf, or e-mail banappeals@totalfreedom.me
Apologies for any inconvenience.
We have taken the decision to temporarily remove the Flatlands world from the Freedom-01 server, and replace it with a temporary world. This will allow our team to apply the appropriate patches we need to put into place to prevent the issue that is currently causing the server to crash when players enter a specific area.
We hope this will be only for the next 24 hours or so, but will keep you updated.
Thank you.
Denied and 7 day forum sanction issued for trying to fudge your own appeal? I think? Fuck knows this was a car crash.
Updated with some clarification on the rules, a new (Final!) start date and time as well as info on the world border.
Maintenance is now complete. 1.18.2 clients should now be able to connect without issue.
On the grounds Fssp is indef banned from this community (Forums and Discord at least) I'm removing his "Response" and also locking this thread.
I have very little time for the individual, and frankly have no desire for this forums to be the place that moderates what will inevitably turn into another round of he says she says.
Further to https://status.atlas-media.co.…f-network-proxy-upgrades/ I will be performing some upgrades across the network to bring the Bungee as well as some plugins on it up to date. During this time the network will not be accessible.
Just to let folks know, we've now got the plotworld back up and running on Freedom-01, meaning full access to all players plots have been restored.
Apologies that this took some time to get up and running and that it was a casualty of the initial 1.17 upgrade, steps have been put in place by the dev team to ensure we don't have a similar situation occur in the future.
Any issues / bugs please report them as usual.
Thanks.
On the grounds the user was on a mandated break from both the forums and Server at the time they were intentionally prevented from appealing until the forum ban had been lifted I will decline this, and encourage the applicant to appeal on their own thread if they think now is a good time for them to return to activity.
