↩ Allink So that will just be the software default, and also you're not really posting, you're adding comments on walls atm so it could be because it's that rather than actual posts.
As I said in the post though, this is purely a content import, the settings and fine tuning is to follow but I just need to work out if there's anything that isn't importing properly so I can work with the devs back at WoltLab to fix it.

Hi Folks,
While I've been taking some time away from the day to day running of the network, I've spent some time working with the development team at Woltlab to look to identify a solid way we can migrate the Flarum forums over to Woltlab, the forum suite we started to explore around a year ago.
As part of this I've stood up a new temporary test forum which contains a dump of the data from this forum from last week which has been imported in. The forum itself is not fully configured, and is running a bare-bones configuration on a fairly aggressive security lockdown so there will be naturally some bits that don't quite work as they should, for the purposes of this please ignore anything that is not thread content.
There are some things that haven't imported, the main one being avatars and polls that I'm aware of. In both cases we won't be looking to migrate these.
We are also aware of a few issues we're working through.
Imported Code Blocks are a bit broken- Spoilers won't be imported, they might land as Code blocks or nothing but there's syntax issues
- For security we block all image embedding, so external images are currently blocked, that's part of forum config
- BBCode doesn't import properly (This has been resolved in the newer version of the importer we haven't yet ran)
So I'd like folks to take a quick look where they can at their historic posts, and let me know if there's anything that is obviously broken with the formatting please and if so report it to the new feedback section under "Woltlab Pilot" on the left hand side.
You should all be able to login with your existing credentials, I should warn these test forums might get blown away with 0 warning and are for testing, so I've done what I can to disable posting and the likes, and if it's abused I'll simply kill them.
The following boards have been "Migrated" which I hope to have a good spread of threads and content.
- General (With Introductions, Support, General Discussion, Security, Off Topic and Media Board)
- Suggestions (With Freedom Game-Mode)
- Applications (Admin Applications & Senior Admin Applications)
- Admins (With Indefinite Ban Requests)
If there are other boards folks feel would be valuable from a content testing perspective then let me know and we'll get it setup.
The current test URL is https://woltlab-test.totalfreedom.me which should let existing Flarum users sign in and read-only into the boards.
Any other issues / feedback please use the board mentioned above.

↩ Deauthorized A chat filter in general would be helpful for the network,
We had one, when it was turned on everyone rioted because it stopped people spamming shit like amongus 200 times in a row on the server which apparently was what the community wanted... It can be turned on with like 2 clicks which would solve this, but would rate limit people properly everywhere.

↩ RedEastWood Not really a good solution... There's good reason we don't do that currently. I'm personally not happy with us going down that route for a number of reasons, the main one being it opens us up to security issues.
Will pick this topic up again when I'm back, only checking in because of MS Teams messages that I needed to address and wanted to check what else was happening.

Due to lack of TFM support for NM (Which as I've said elsewhere has been THE NUMBER 1 PRIORITY for TF Development for over a year) we couldn't make the ranks aligned even if we wanted to.
-
So yeah, the TLDR is I'm taking a longer term break from TF to spend some time focusing on what's important in my personal life, I'll be back in a month or 2.
The longer part... I've decided to step away from TF for a little while, to give me the time I need to get other much more important things in life sorted out and setup better, I'm currently in the process of trying to buy my first house, I've got a demanding day job that is ramping up to be more stressful than ever, and the continued stream of targeted abuse, harassment and stalking from some current and former members of the community has just taken it's toll on my own mental health.
As Steven and others have said well, and as I've encouraged admins myself, TF is a community but it's also a side project, a hobby and something to be enjoyed and when you're struggling to balance everything, or wishing that you didn't have those commitments, you need to take that step back and reflect. As many of you will recall, the last time I took that reflection step I decided that TF was no longer sustainable, or worth running as a game community, and if I'm being honest with myself that's very much where I am again today, struggling to justify why TF is still continuing when so many people are pushing for it's failure.
We are however substantially better equipped now than we ever have been before, StevenNL2000 already runs all of the day to day management and activities on the Freedom game-mode, which right now is the main game-mode on the network, and the Hub and bungee itself are maintained by our great hub mods or are self-maintaining. The plots are still a WIP, and something if I feel up to I might well get finished ready to launch on my return.
With all that in mind, it's clear to me I need some time away and I don't know how much time I need, I have a lot of plans over the coming weeks so my activity in reality was going to be spotty anyway, but I need some time to look after myself and my mental health, and not have the stress and headaches that are the abusive sides to this community which chose to mock, target, stalk and harass me and other on a daily basis.
With that in mind, I've asked Fyrsta who himself is a former TF Senior admin from many years ago, and long term member of ATLAS's staff team to pick up my day to day role here on TF. StevenNL2000 as I say is already running the Freedom server, and rather than reporting to me will be reporting to Fyrsta for the foreseeable future.
I will very much be back, but in my own time, and hopefully refreshed and ready to take on the many plans that are already on our back burner.
This isn't goodbye.
Thank you all that have been supportive, and thank you to all of our current and former players & staff for your continued contribution to the community, it really does mean a lot to me.

For clarity, you were banned for being a racist dick and generally horrible human being.

I think as others have said you don't have a place currently in this community and you're almost certainly going to simply repeat old behaviour.
I personally object strongly.

Maintenance Complete.

Due to some personal bits that came up, the maintenance is starting now a bit behind schedule.

OP Deleted. Denied as withdrawn.

↩ DragonSlayer2189 Nothing to do with the network. That's down to Steven.
-
Just to let folks know, tomorrow at 1PM I'm going to be needing to take the Bungee offline for some routine maintenance work. This will involve patches to the underlying OS as well as updating the Bungeecord software to it's latest version.
During this time everything on our core network will be offline / un-reachable while the updates are applied.
Updates will be primarily posted here: https://status.atlas-media.co.…05-01-tf-network-updates/

This is the entire purpose of the dev server we already have. It can if required be opened to the public, but the reality is we've not had capacity in the dev team to test and assure the plugins, which is why it has not happened. No additional servers are required.
-
↩ Allink Actually it probably just simply got corrupted over time... I'm pretty sure paper.yml and a couple of others got reset quite some time ago but StevenNL2000 would be the one to say for sure.

From what I can tell the extension has been abandoned / delayed due to the author not being able to actively maintain it unless someone can confirm otherwise?

↩ DragonSlayer2189 Yeah t'was sort of my point. Think we just need to separate the two things once and for all to put a stop to the madness.
