@rylie (fucking mobile tag won't work)
Correct tag is root, not @rylie.
Also, why isn't this thread locked?
Thanks.
And because the bans have not been confirmed yet. Once I close the thread people including staff can't reply.
It won't be making a return. The channel was never used for its intended purpose or how I asked for it to be used.
A global unappealable ban for them and their alts is hereby approved.

Apparently I set the boards up too well and couldn't reply to a denied thread.
A 2 week forum ban has been issued for time wasting blackmail and trying to start a flame war.
Ultimately no, it creates more of a mess than making the entire thing private and requires a considerable amount more work to file such requests. They need to remain on a single thread.
so during seth’s tenure he worked out a way to make certain text readable by staff only. Is there no way to do that here?
It didn't actually work and was trivial to bypass. Likewise it doesn't solve the issue where it would then mean most of the evidence would be staff only, defeating the point of making them public at all.
There is no plan to bring it back.
what if the community would want to have it back
Right now, it still wouldn't come back. We don't have enough players to justify running and investing time into more game-modes.
Can't we like, have a separate private board of sorts where IPs are posted in relation to IBRs
Ultimately no, it creates more of a mess than making the entire thing private and requires a considerable amount more work to file such requests. They need to remain on a single thread.
Object, I have always been against IPs being public. While a lot of people don't care about thir IPs being pubicly shown, other big servers don't go off showing their player's IPs, If they did they would lose all their players which this policy in the past probably has cost the server some players,
Even though this is still an issue I don't think we should be using IPs as an excuse to why they can't be publicized again, the community should be able to see IBRs again since we can't really trust them being private anymore and it's doing more destruction rather than good.
Unfortunately it's the entire reason we had to make them admin only in the first place, and the reality is that has not changed. It only takes a handful of people being upset with this move for them to go back to targeting the community and our infrastructure and frankly it's not worth it. I appreciate it's not ideal, but this is the trade off.
So will you state the truth? You are most likely talking about when I found an exploit in plan to manipulate join IPS by editing /etc/hosts, I admit I abused this, but targeting you? This wasn't me and I know who it was. But you don't do any thorough research. Did you actually research any of this? I don't have any problems with you, Ryan, but this is totally unjustified lol. I'm starting to think that this happened because some particular staff have a disliking towards me and I know who you are. I don't care much for the hub mod role, but I do care for the fact I'm banned. In a community I cared for and most of my friends are from here, I would rather just be unbanned than anything else, but that's your decision, a decision that I know what way will swing.
Disappointing lmfao
ps if I even did anything bad why am I banned now and not 3 months ago?
I have stated the truth, the conduct policy parts you violated are listed here. Unfortunately all of the content in question is from your uuid so if you didn't do it, you gave someone your account to do this with and ultimately you're responsible for what actions are done with your account.
I have no idea on whatever other conflicts you may have with people on this server, and your ban reason is exactly as it was stated. You're the first under this grouping but won't be the last.
You're banned now because I only noticed the issue while trying to fix some thing else and had to go through the database to find the exact culprit.
...so what exactly did he do?
That's covered in his indef ban thread. That's all that for this thread.
Ginlang has been indefinitely suspended from their role as a hub mod due to the fact they have been indefinitely banned from the network for violations of the community guidelines with the following sections violated:
We already reduced it from 1 year.
The reality is it created confusion when people are constantly changing their usernames which is why it's set how it is.

not doing inactivity checks for months (then wiping half the team as a result of inconsistent checks that set a standard to maintain),
Just on this point. This is intentional. Activity checks were being abused when they were refuarly being done so they are intended to be randomly ran.
Can't argue for or against the rest of the points myself but just wanted to chip in on that point.

Which is exactly what it is intended to do... And why the command exists.
Why, if I may ask?
To prevent abuse. It's how we rate limit things, but also because it was originally decided it was not a requirement for non-admins to have the command at all, this was designed as a way when IBR's were public for non-admins to gather / submit evidence, that is no longer the case.
