As long as Telesphoreo is happy this can be either built into TFM or added as an external plugin in a sane way, I'm happy to approve this. Sounds like it could be fun and would be a nice addition generally.

I think my concerns have been covered off previously.
I'd encourage you to raise suggestions to unblock any functionality you think could be reasonably unblocked, I'm keen to make sure we have as much freedom on the server for all players rather than creating many layered groups of players, so on that basis I'm going to decline this suggestion.

@elmon#995 Cool, I wasn't sure what involvement was required from the bot side to facilitate this, but if it's all on the TFM side as long as Telesphoreo is happy with this being practical to do I'm happy to approve it to go on to the Development backlog of tasks.

Hat's I've got no real opinion on, if the community like the idea and it's technically viable I see no reason that shouldn't go on to the backlog for the dev team to pick up when they have capacity.
Paying coins feels like a sensible command to add, if players want to send coins to one another then so be it, and if they're using alts to vote / all that stuff, well it's still a vote for the server at the end of the day so I'm note sure I'm too bothered on that potential exploit if you can call it that?
I'm not sure what the Auction one ends up giving us? I'm not sure what "Items" you're planning on auctioning off..? Especially as we're on a Freedom server...

Now the ownership policy has been executed, it feels like a good time while it's fresh in peoples minds to cover off this suggestion and others like it.
Regarding the first point for OP voting, I agree it would be good to have a way to enable OP's to vote, but I've yet to think of a reliable way to do it. The best I can really come up with is deciding on a set number of hours the player has to have played in game and then we develop some way to link their in game profile with their forum profile, but where we draw that line and the technical implications of doing that need to be thought through, and we also need to consider that it would exclude those members of the community who don't play a lot in game but whom may be active elsewhere in the community.
Regarding the second point, I think given you have to have access to the senior lounge, those requirements in theory should be covered off by the relevant application / re-instatement policies (Though fionn / elmon should be able to confirm hopefully?) - I'm not sure it's worth going through the trouble of updating the ownership policy where those requirements should be picked up elsewhere if that's the rule for reinstating / similar?

I think my current plan with this will be not to have a specific person responsible for archiving of the server. I'm intending on making sure that the worlds are available for download where we re-set the maps, and we'll be implementing a more formal backup process in the near future, and once I've got that nailed down I'll publish something here to explain how it's been setup and what assurances there are in place.
While it doesn't 100% solve all the issues you're trying to hope, I don't think there is a rational way to solve the issues, and I don't think appointing someone to that role is going to be the answer we're looking for so I'm going to decline this suggestion.

Subject to elmon and Telesphoreo being happy to implement this technically I'm happy to approve this, feels like a sensible thing to do.

I think for the most part this has now been mitigated, a number of executives that are working closely with the ATLAS Team now have access to the server so can fix things if the bot's don't work, and the bot's have been updated to fix things for the most part but there are some teething issues that need to be worked through.
I won't open the server up to all the senior admins, but longer term the bot should be updated and fixed to work more reliably with this start / stop / kill process and those who need SSH / SFTP access will be granted such accesses.

Thank you all

@Xen#981 I tried to add the poll extension, it doesn't work with the newer version of Flarum, so we either had to wait for the plugin to be fixed and delay the ownership. This was the best we could do.

Hi Folks,
A very short announcement, but wanted to formally recognise that Telesphoreo will be acting now as the servers Executive Lead Developer.
While the lead developer role has jumped between being an executive position and not an executive position over the last few years, given the continued dedication and level of trust and access that comes with that position, I'm keen to recognise it formally as an executive position as it has been so recognised previously.
Unlike the other executive positions, there will not be a concept of "Assistants" as such with this appointment, as all standard developers will already report to the ELD and as there tends to be a much smaller group of developers historically anyway so it feels like overkill.
I also appreciate this doesn't necessarily fall in line with some of the existing rules around Executives, however given the nature of the role the lead developer traditionally has more access than the other exec's anyway but is never formally recognised as such.
Please join me in congratulating Telesphoreo on this sort of promotion, sort of new job title

Cool, in which case I will close this and supersede it by the other suggestion.

I think this may be related to https://forum.totalfreedom.me/d/120-delwarp/5 ?

@fssp#864 It looks like Flarum is updating an access token every time you load a page and storing it in the DB, so everything you click you're waiting for the request to get to the DB Server, store the stuff, and then get back to the Flarum server for Flarum to process things.
Given this is running on the ATLAS Core DB and things like CoreProtect are also putting it under a greater load we'll look to move the DB in the future to a beefier box, but tbh I'm not sure it'll make significant differences, I'm not sure why every time you sneeze Flarum feels the need to write the change there and then...

If it's "Back" then it was on the server when Seth tossed it... I've not touched any plugins and nobody else can...
-
Flarum was doing something under the hood that was causing excessively high load on the VPS this runs on so hopefully a solid reboot has fixed that.
-
I noticed it this morning on mobile but had chalked it up to my rubbish signal.
I'll take a look this afternoon when I finish work. Guessing flarum abusing the dB server again...

It'd be useful for someone to actually explain what if anything is custom as well and why it may need to be custom...
