As this thread won't ever be approved / declined as it's an ongoing thread, I'm going to move it out to the ESL area, once the community are happy with batches of plugins if the ESL Team can raise dedicated suggestions for each plugin they can be discussed and fast-tracked through to the approval / decline phase.

I've raised FS-125 for the developers to look at the bug.

Would appreciate other peoples input around the suggestion.

FS-124 has been raised to look into the logging capabilities if this was enabled by default, and what potential performance impacts we might see. As long as we're able to effectively log the activity that is undertaken and it doesn't immediate shit the servers performance, I'm happy that we look to enable this behaviour by default going forward.

As I am happy the issue trying to be solved should already be solved through other rules I'm denying this thread, however if there proves to be issues where it is not covered in the future we can re-visit this discussion.

Given there seems to be no support or even comments for these suggestions, I am going to decline the thread. Would suggest if you want to re-raise the suggestions to split them out on to unique threads that are a bit easier to work with.

As previously stated, the CoreProtect dB won't be wiped without wiping the respective map(s) that go with it. There is a separate thread discussing that so with both those things in mind, this thread is denied.

Anyone else want to chime in with their 2p?

It feels like there are quite a few suggestions all bundled up into one here. Is there any general consensus for things that people want to see improved / changed as a result of this thread?

I'm re-tagging this as it falls under the remit of the ESL team, and doesn't feel like suggestions are the right place for it.

It's designed to be a lighter weight server, and one that gives that slightly more older TF vibe off. Not really understanding the suggestion, and given nobody else has replied I'll decline this suggestion.

On the grounds that I don't think this is going to fix the issue and potentially make things a fair bit worse I'm going to decline this suggestion, there is already work underway to look into alternatives to CoreProtect and WorldEdit anyway...

Movecraft - Has been approved on a previous thread, FS-98 is on our backlog
Crackshot - Has been approved and is FS-99 and is currently being worked on by the dev's

The rest of them I don't think have been discussed before from memory anyway.

@videogamesm12#8125 providing things don't keep going to shit with everything else I have to do as much as they have been, probably in the next 6 weeks to 2 months sort of time frame.

Due to the nightmare that is updating flarum and the absolute pain it is I have said we're only adding more plug-ins now that we are absolutely critical to the forums running. Cosmetic and quality of life plug-ins won't be added to flarum because it's not sustainable for updates.

Worth noting I think a lot of these were previously approved and haven't been implemented yet. Crackshot and move craft certainly were and might be others but I'll check later.

If someone is exhibiting the behaviours you propose to be included in policy, they should be being flagged by those observing it to more senior admins, to executives or ultimately to me... I'm trying to identify if this is for some reason not already happening / not clear, because I am really trying to reduce the policies we have and rationalize things to make them easier to understand rather than go the other way and have 2 million detailed policies.

I am also going to vouch, you clearly care about the server, and I've seen people who are far less mature or generally annoying in my time and if they could be trained into good admins, I see no reason you couldn't either if you put the time in.

While not a formal recommendation, I do believe it's in the servers interest to have more administrators with the passion and care you show for the server and it's community.

EDIT: Actually you know what, you are ultimately the type of person I think has the passion for the server and I generally feel that's the sort of thing that actually we need more of generally, so you can add my name to the list of formal recommendations for your position as admin.

It's clearly one of my ban messages, and if I banned you for that you were probably being a massive ass / racist / spamming, but given I can't remember for sure and I'm feeling nice, and given nobody else has posted here at all... I'll approve you to be un-banned and jump on the hubs and make that happen now.
