Bug FS-126 raised for someone to look into the issue.
-
@zeseryu#8213 Thank you for the clarification, I'll update the OP accordingly.
-
@Darth#8206 That pre-dates even my time, so I'm probably not the best person to explain it, but if someone wants to give me a good explanation I'm happy to update the thread appropriately.
-
For anyone interested, this is currently what "New Plugins" are approved (There are one or two trimmed off the bottom) and the ones in Selected for Development / In Progress are the ones we're looking at now. Everything else will be evaluated and setup / added in due course when other issues we have on the dev queue are cleared.
-
If there are any bits I've not covered (And there probably are) let me know and I'll edit the thread appropriately.

Just to make a formal post because I've sort of mentioned this a few times but not formally written something up.
I've decided to formally end the existence of IA within TotalFreedom, at the current time it's not felt like it's been something that we've missed, and ultimately everything they do the EAO team should be picking up generally as part of their responsibilities, and failing that it should be coming to me.
In terms of things that IA used to deal with this is where I now see their responsibilities
Gathering of evidence and writing of reports
This I would expect to be managed by all of the admins, if you feel there is wrongdoing happening on the server, collate evidence and report it through appropriate channels.
Receiving reports from players
For standard admins senior admins should be the default first point of contact if there is an issue, and where appropriate appropriate conversations should happen between the senior admin and admin to try to resolve the issue without the need for further escalation.
In the event further escalation is required, or you are reporting a senior admin you should raise the issue with a member of the EAO Team who can work out the appropriate result.
For further escalation beyond the EAO Team you should look to reach out to me.
For executives you should follow the policy outlined in the executive policy.
Admin Suspensions
At the moment the admin suspensions remain in the power of the EAO Team or myself.
Admin Welfare
The welfare of admins and the community as a whole will be something the EAO team will now be responsible for where the IA Team had formally done this.
What was an 'IA File' and what was in mine?
An IA File was a file stored by IA for record keeping purposes to track public information about an admin in a place that could be queried as required. I have no access to the files, and my understanding is they were all wiped when Seth went AWOL and deleted the server, so I couldn't show you what was in yours even if I wanted to, but the sort of things that would have been in them were:
- When you were appointed to admin status
- Any suspensions / misbehaviour that was worthy of logging
- Any abnormal behaviours that were shown in public
- Dates when you got admin / promoted / reinstated / suspension.

@Shdwo#8011 I would appreciate (As with anything like this) that if you're going to post evidence of wrongdoing, it needs to be backed up with some level of context...
To be perfectly honest, I've seen a lot worse from other OP's and active admins than what has been posted there even lacking any sort of context...
-
I will only ask this once. Keep on topic.
I've had to go through (After someone else already has) and moderate a lot of the posts on this thread, including issuing temporary forum bans to individuals.
If people start to take this off topic again, I will start to forum sanction more people.

I've started getting Plan setup how it should have been, this means all servers will log back to a single dB which will allow us to start to view activity and such across the network.
You can now view the entire networks statistics through http://play.totalfreedom.me:8080

fionn Any thoughts?

This is going to be declined, we should really not be auto restarting the servers where we can help it, as there are often good reasons it's down, and the more often we kill it and force the process to end, the more times we run into issues with CoreProtect missing data... I'm looking at a few options that Spigot supports to re-jig the scripts but beyond that we should encourage players to temporarily join the other server while we try to gracefully shut down the server that has crashed / gone down.
-
Does Flarum natively support this? I've not seen it look as if it supports such behaviour...
-
So I am happy to approve (If everyone agrees)
play.totalfreedom.me will route new players by default to the hub on first login to the network, and beyond that it will route you to the last server you connected to providing it is up, and if it's unavailable it will fall you back to a hub to then pick where you want to go.
freedom.play and smp.play will continue to route you to an available server within the respective groups, there is no guarantee you will end up on the server you left but you will guarantee a freedom or SMP Server.
hub.play will be created and will always route you to one of the hubs for those who want to continue to connect via the hub.
Does that sound like a sane way forward for people?
-
@Telesphoreo#7269 The freedom sub-domain only exists because people got shitty they had to spend 20 seconds in a hub to go to the Freedom server, and the SMP one only exists because that's historically how you had to connect when they were not bungee'd. I've always maintained we want players going via the hub for all connections to the network, because that's what it's there for.

Does anyone have a backup / good way to restore the theme? I'm not super familiar with how Proboards themes work so open to thoughts.
-
I think we declined an audio related plugin previously because it didn't seem to get any real support.
Does anyone else have any views on the suggested plugins?
