So the reason it formats like this is because messages now works cross server so you can message between freedom 1 and freedom 2 for example, and the default plugin behaviour is to display the server name of each player as the same message in the same structure is always sent to both players.

It's not possible to shorten the server name without changing it globally which isn't practical. I can change or remove the server names but I feel that could equally be confusing for players that don't realize you can message cross servers.

I can change the formatting if people have a preference but I'm not sure the content itself can be changed a whole lot without going back to the plugim devs

@abhi#6829 Apologies for the delay, speaking to the development team they are happy with the examples provided and we would like to accept your application. Could you please confirm your discord name as I can't see it on our guild.

@CodexTheDuplex#6703 Thanks for your application. At the moment we're really looking for individuals with a history in Java, and at least on the examples provided the current development team haven't felt that the examples provided show that level of experience. At the moment we're not able to accept your application, but would suggest if you do have better examples of Java work you have completed to re-apply in the future.

Open to thoughts, I'd personally like the owner and the exec colours not to be the same.

Personally I'd like to steal the developer Dark purple colour for owners :)

Personally I tend to go CentOS with the Mate Desktop on it. Works great for everything I use it for, but that's because a lot of my work on Linux is VSCode and Ansible, and CentOS / RHEL just work better for that workload.

Given the post above seems to be generally supported I've made the config change to no longer force users to a hub server.

The addition of hub.play will be deployed next weekend when the bungee software updates are rolled out.

We will look to re-visit this in a couple of months to make sure we're happy that this has had the indented impact, but hopefully this works better.

I'm guessing I overlooked that setting when deploying freedom 2. I'll look to fix this and compare the files to make sure both freedom servers config are aligned.

They haven't been able to since 2013 or so. It used to cause carnage and lag like shit because everyone changed it then others changed it to something else and it was just a fight over what time the world should be. Was not fun.

For those of you who aren't aware, TF recently moved on to Superior-Networks for all of the VPS hosting, since we moved the servers to SSD Backed storage. I've had a few people ask what the server spec's are and what we run, so I thought I'd put it all into this post.

Note these are each individual VPS's, and the resources will have some overhead due to the operating system, so just because memory is 10GB for example does not mean that's what you will see in game.

Worth noting those are the SN prices, so that's what you'd pay if you hosted the exact same setup on our infrastructure :)

This doesn't include costs for stuff like our shared services like the databases, authentication servers and monitoring servers which would be an additional cost on top of that which you see here.

The main maintenance has now been completed, so thank you all for your understanding, hopefully you should be seeing improvements on all the TF Resources.

There will be planned upgrades at some point this month (Probably next weekend) to update the Freedom servers to 1.16.5 properly with various plugin updates as well.

@StevenNL2000#8229 It is, with each server also reporting back data, so the bungee one gives a high level overview, then each server you can still look into.
