I'd probably assume it's fucked at this point. If it's under warranty I'd send it back, some companies (think wd are one of them) have some level of data recovery as part of the warranty depending on the type of drive.
From experience MacOS is a bit fussy and once the drive has any sort of damage like what yours seems to have it will never quite play nice again. Had a similar issue with my old macs boot drive.

@videogamesm12#11323 They've been moved off the server... Given the server was critically low on space I was trying to free up as much as I could. The historic logs will be archived appropriately.
I'm pretty happy with this as a solution.
I don't want to put effort into custom code or into adding extra plug-ins...

Given the lack of support for this in this thread, I'm going to decline this one also.
I'm going to shift this out of suggestions as I'm happy for the change to be made but might need further conversation.
So I think I like the idea fo this, and like the idea of having multiple packs that people can buy, and then chose to set their login message to that, once you buy the packs you can swap between the purchased messages as you please.
