@UnderTails#14995 Freezing doesn't stop them performing worldedits...

You're missing my point, you're trying to solve a problem which shouldn't exist, and wouldn't if we fixed WorldEdit (Which we are working on).

Yes, //undo will work with state, because that state is stored for the duration the player is online (Which means they'd leave mid way through the //undo a lot of the time from experience) and because it's only in WorldEdit state is not an issue.

The solution here as I've already said is to fix the integration between AWE and CoreProtect, not bypass the current setup we have in place, where this will almost certainly do more damage than good anyway.

@UnderTails#14992 Because that's what /gtfo does... It triggers a roll back.

And we don't use it because why would we? It ends up keeping a bad player on the server longer and allowing them to do damage elsewhere, while often actually getting CoreProtect in a less consistent state because /gtfo will still trigger the coreprotect roll back, which may no longer be up to date if you've just forced the player to undo worldedit builds.

The solution here is to have WorldEdit properly log to CoreProtect with AWE, not to try to override the default TFM behaviour which is intentional and by design.

Admins can already /gcmd to do the same thing. The issue is depending on when it happens you can end up with CoreProtect in an even worse situation which is why letting CoreProtect roll the player back with /gtfo makes far more sense most of the time.

As part of work to remove older data from the CoreProtect Database, we will need to perform a number of database operations which cannot be ran during the normal operation of the server (I've tested this, it breaks things). As such and due to the vast size of the current Database, we have scheduled a 14 hour outage between Saturday evening and Sunday lunch time where the operations can be ran.

I hope the maintenance will conclude prior to the planned outage time, but it will depend how quickly it can re-create and optimize all of the tables required.

Further outage info will be published here - https://status.atlas-media.co.uk/maintenances/PpeIJg1J7yku

Just confirmed this is the result of a change to the NM plugin. I'll go make appropriate corrections shortly.

    • Updated default lang_msg_sender and lang_msg_receiver to &c| &8[&6%sender_server%&8] &b%sender% &7> &8[&6%receiver_server%&8] &b%receiver%&7: &f%message% and &c| &8[&6%server-sender%&8] &b%sender% &7> &8[&6%server-receiver%&8] &b%receiver%&7: &f%message%. Make sure to update the placeholders you're currently using.

@lyicx#14902 SMP wasn't permitted to be a different reason because it didn't meet the strategy I'm going for, I want multiple options for players to play on the current and up to date version of MC.

It is possible for us to run multiple versions, and I had been pondering if a 1.8 version was practical (Though I think the conversations I had was that TFM would not be compatible without a fairly hefty amount of work) so this is technically possible, but I'm 50/50 on if I want to consider it at all.

For transparency purposes, I wanted to share with you the current server access lists, and what access is granted by the various levels of access.

    Access Groups

    • dev_tf_gmod-allaccess: Grants a user unrestricted access to the Development GMOD Servers
    • dev_tf_smp-allaccess: Grants a user unrestricted access to the development SMP Servers
    • ops_tf_freedom-tfserver: Grants a user the ability to become the "tfserver" user on the OPS Freedom servers (TFServer is the user account that the TF server runs under on the majority of our servers.)
    • dev_tf_freeopdevservers-allaccess: Grants a user unrestricted access to the development server
    • dev_tf_freeopdevservers-tfserver: Grants a user the ability to become the "tfserver" user on the Development Freedom servers (TFServer is the user account that the TF server runs under on the majority of our servers.)
    • ops_tf_eventsserver-allaccess: Grants a user unrestricted and full sudo access to the live events servers.

    Database Servers

The Database servers are part of the managed ATLAS Infrastructure, access is tightly restricted but the list of users with access is not and will not be published.

    Root Access

I retain root access to all of the hosts TF runs on, at the current time no other individuals are given root access to the hosts.

    Other Servers

There are some other servers which are not currently under the above group control setup, such as the MB Servers. As these currently are not deemed "Operational" I won't worry too much about listing them, but generally speaking only I have access to the MB Servers. The forums, bungee and any other servers not already listed, are only currently accessible by myself.

@UnderTails#14889 I'm just making it obvious why the change was originally made. I'm not personally bothered either way if we re-enable or not, I just wanted to make sure people understood why you were suggesting this as it seems not everyone had seen the original approved thread.

    Applications have now closed.

Due to one or more applicants currently being the subject of an ongoing investigation by the EAO Team the process to appoint the new ESL will be put on hold pending the outcome of that investigation. Once that investigation is concluded we will proceed with the next steps as appropriate.

@UnderTails#14753 I disagree. We're also not a survival, KitPVP, Skyblocks etc etc etc, but we don't list those?

The reason people confuse us for an anarchy server is because we've always historically (At least before Seth took over running the server) closer to Anarchy than a build server... That's just the nature of the player base we've had, that's not going to change even if you do put something in the MOTD, which as I say I don't think people bother to read anyway.
