@StevenNL2000#17006 That's a point, my thought behind this was nothing in approved / denied for the most part are going to get comments on, at least for the stuff I've seen as other than admin apps (Which might be the exception) the threads are locked when approved / denied.

I'm going to approve the suggestion to stop auto-wiping of Armour Stands where possible - FS-232

I would like to leave this conversation open for some further conversation around how we then manage the implications of this, and from a dev perspective if any of the original suggestions are viable

    Quote

@Folfy_Blue#14949 Limit the amount of armorstands per chunk (Eg. Above 10, it will cancel out)
Cooldown on placing armorstands (Eg. If you place 10 within a minute, you have to wait 10 minutes)
Limit the amount of armorstands per distance (If two armorstands are within X blocks of eachother, remove one)

Or if we need something slightly more cruder that just wipes any of them currently loaded?

So I'm trying something new because I appreciate a lot of stuff gets caught up in the "Noise" when I go through updating threads.

For the next few weeks I'm trailing hiding anything tagged "Approved" or "Denied" from the all discussions screen. This should mean that the only stuff now you'll see on the home screen is for open and ongoing discussions, which hopefully will mean the overall quality of the forums should increase because you can actually reply to those threads!

Feedback appreciated, just want to see if it makes life better.

I'm going to decline this suggestion. There were mention of other better solutions here, which I'd be open to discussing, but they haven't got enough support in this thread to justify approval for this thread.

Discord Moderators are empowered to manage server chat, and should be muting / sanctioning people who continually flood the chat, but it will happen from time to time just down to the nature of the integration. I'm guilty of it, as are most people here!

So I'm going to approve this suggestion, but with some of the considerations taken in on this ticket.

FS-227 - To make sure Explosive Arrows respect server explosive settings and do no damage if that is enabled.
FS-228 - To ensure we actually log any damage it does do into CoreProtect
FS-229 - To convert this into a shop item
FS-330 - To allow disabling of the item per player / globally at staff digression temporarily.

I'm hoping that's captured everything folks are concerned about, while still being able to make this possible for OP's to use in the future, let me know if I did overlook anything.

Also worth noting this is a normal process for anything that uses TLS... Root CA's tend to be signed for anywhere from 10 to 30 years generally. Eventually those will expire and unless they are re-signed with root CA's that are trusted by devices (Which wouldn't happen for very old updates that aren't intended to be used) you'll get a warning that the certs aren't trusted in the same way a self-signed certificate would be (Though a slightly different error message).

@Folfy_Blue#16633 It would be an option but we never had the full core protect data, so we would risk deleting chunks which have previously had block changes.

Its not a bad idea, it just depends on if we care about deleting just empty untouched chunks or if we want to delete older stuff.

Personally I'm only worried about the former, the later just is part of the history of the server.

My "counter suggestion" as it were, would be to allow admins to toggle sharing on / off if that's practical. I for one don't care if people see what's in my inventory, and I don't involve myself with exploits and such. Maybe having an opt-in way of sharing / allowing OP's to see admins inventories might be good for folks like me where the odds of my carrying such items are already super slim?
