@Xen#462 i vouch for your concept under the terms that they have to request a permban and anything beyond a month ban then

@Xen#445 It makes no sense to require forum staff to have to post a forum request in order to have someone punished. The forum staff is not the same as the staff we have moderating in-game. These are more trusted members of our community. Public reports should not have to be made in order to punish someone (especially someone who is flagrantly violating the guidelines).

Ight how about they have the ability to tempban up to a month w/o having to request? Anything further & permbans have to be voted upon akin to permbans?

@Xen#445 Not entirely true. Many sanction requests, in my opinion, have been unfairly processed due to a bias against a player. One (the one I pointed out) was a scenario in which a player was completely innocent, but was almost perm banned because of all the comments. Granted, comments (more specifically mine) prevented it from happening, but that should never be the case. The outcome of a player's sanction request should not be based on a bunch of people voting simply because they don't like the player.

That's fair but that also applies to permbans. We can't just allow one user to permban people as they see fit, however.

I'd rather make it so that forum sanctions can only be created by the forum staff, as they are voted in. This removes the 'reporter gets to choose the punishment' aspect. There'd also be a requirement for evidence. Then it's still a vote, as we still vote on permban requests.

You're comparing it to like an admin, except an admin can't just permban a user without a formal vote. Therefore, there should be a vote to permban a user from the forum. Comments are valuable, and they stop unfair FSRs.

@lyicx#419 i don't have an issue with coins being related to activity, login messages are purely cosmetic, and offer literally nothing outside of rp, maybe, i have an issue with the idea that worldedit should be restricted for normal users until they become 'active' users or 'trusted' users.

Gadgets n shit really don't matter because anyone can just get coins. Not everyone can just be called 'trusted' nor can everyone simply just achieve being active. If someone joined and wanted to build they'd leave if they found out they needed to be on the server for 4 hours playtime.

Gadgets =/= commands that everyone should have access to

@lyicx#406 no, i know exactly what he means, but making it so some users have more perms than others for no reason other than 'they earned it' via activity, or just being 'trusted' is a bad idea and it's concerning someone supposedly in charge of advertising and retention seems to support such an idea

rather than block shit or only make it available to certain 'trusted' users, we should be fixing stuff. blocking is the lazy route out

@lyicx#401 no, this is also a bad idea. every perm that doesnt fuck up the server should be available upon joining. an activity requirement to get said perms is unjustifiably unfair and goes against the TF.

why are you complaining about the government's covid-19 response, i dont see you running a government

why are you complaining about the lack of free healthcare i dont see you starting a welfare state

    what a fucking silly arguement

ont: yeah i get its not very well made but its pretty new given its been like a day so id just wait personally before i judge the forum - remember this had to be made from scratch

@zeseryu#145 section 1 - since we're premium it'd be a ballache to make several alts to vote, its not impossible but in the same strand i highly doubt people are going to go through the effort of getting several alts just to make fake forum accounts to vote. It'll definitely be monitored and detected should they do so.

    Guten tag

    Section 1 - Ops
The Ownership policy currently doesn't allow for ops to vote.

I propose we make a bot that gets linked to the player's minecraft account. After the account is linked they gain access to the polls subboard. Once they have access they can vote. This removes potential for vote rigging.

If you want to make it extra stern make it so they also need to link their account to a Discord account, however I don't advise this as some players don't use Discord

    Section 2 - Requirements
I also propose we add the following amendments in terms of requirements:

The owner must have a Minecraft account
The owner must have a Discord account
To apply, you must not have reinstated recently (1 month) within the applications opening.

To make it easier for whoever counts pls say 'vouch/object for section 1 vouch/object for section 2' ty

    Jesus christ

Can we make it so that he has to properly appeal in like 2 months rather than just get unbanned because its a self request pls

I vouch under those terms otherwise he'll be back in 2 weeks time doing this shit all over again

@Ashaz#73 But how would you advertise it?

How would you advertise the op council discord? So far you've been DM advertising on Discord & advertising on the server

@Ashaz#24 certain WE commands aren't allowed.

I thought every command was unblocked aside from those that needed to be

@Ashaz#24 Certain suggestions that benefit OPs aren't put through because admins don't like the idea of OPs having the power to do those things, as it can be 'annoying' but not harmful to the server.

    Examples?

    Quote

@Ashaz#24 Many OPs also face situations from admins, such as admins banning them and calling them things like 'cunt' in the ban messages. OPs don't report this as it can be tiring to file an IA report. It does feel like you need to write out 2 paragraphs per question and include multiple pieces of evidence.

IA can't handle every time someone uses the word 'cunt' in a ban message. It's not great but it really isn't the end of the world, just send it to the EAO or legit just say to the admin yourself 'bro cut it out"

    Quote

@Ashaz#24 'make a forum account!' will not change that,

Then, how do you propose OPs find this discord of yours?

    Quote

@Ashaz#24 You could say the server is there for that, but admins watch over it and you can’t say anything against admins without admins arguing back against it.

This is absolutely ridiculous. If you call me a shitty admin I'm going to defend myself. If you tell me I've done something wrong I'm going to defend myself. You're essentially proposing an area that OPs can use to begin brigades and witchhunts. If you have a problem with an admin, tell that admin, don't say stuff in private while not taking any actual action to resolve problems.

We aren't oppressors. If I said 'Ashaz you're a dickhead' you'd argue against that. We don't ban people with differing opinions. I don't understand where this 'admin bad oppress no opinion' mentality comes from.

    Quote

@Ashaz#24 Everything on here is seen from an admin perspective but almost never from an OPs side, unless it comes from me or Noah. Because of that, it causes issues as significant admins don't consider how things could affect OPs.
