In all fairness, since 2012 we used proboards, where we didn't have any significant problems. Proboards was better for everyone, especially from a moderation perspective.
The reason I shit on flarum, is because it literally lacks the basic function to call itself a forum. Even straight out of the box, just basically nothing. Everything is buggy, and to be quite frank I just wish we could have gone back to proboards.
The only reason we moved, and they only reason we are still here today is because of Seth. 1 because he forced the community to move here, even after countless threads explaining the downside.
2, because he caused irreversible damage to the proboards forum and we can't go back. -

If you ever played RollerCoaster Tycoon(1 or 2) in your childhood, then you will know how amazing of a game it was for its time.

Anyway, OpenRCT2 is basically an open source version. One of the best features available is Multiplayer, and the support for dedicated servers. But also this game has a lot of cheat modifiers, such as unlimited money, and being able to change the operational status of some rides.I would like to make a suggestion of an RCT event, maybe either a freedom style map (superflat), or maybe a build battle of some kind. I just want to see if anyone would be interested.

I said it on discord and I'll say it again. The server is basically a giant Spiderman pointing meme. Everyone is blaming eachother for the decline in players, when really the community as a whole can be to blame. The reality is the decline in players in Minecraft as a whole. 7 years ago TF didn't need anything fancy to be popular. It was all third party hosted. But I agree, people don't want to stick around on a dead server, because it's no fun. Half of TF's fun was actual community and having the slot count full at peak times.
I don't think it's fair to push the blame onto ownership though. A lot of factors have caused the decline in TF's playerbase.
Everyone may say, well what do you suggest that makes it better? That's actually a pretty difficult question to answer on the spot. Firstly, the original concept of TF used to be so simple. You can have freedom, as long as you're not a douchebag to other players. That was it, that worked. Free op, mob disguise, worldedit. You name it, we had it, or if we didn't, then you'd make a suggestion.
Now its more of a case of
"server is dead"
"Ok what do you suggest"
"Idk thats your job" -

I've been admin on this server as nearly as long as you, and tbh, I think the mindset we all need to think is that we can't please everyone.
We can't say what tf's overall vision or direction is, because no-one has any idea what TF needs, it's more throw stuff onto the fire and hope it doesn't blow back into your face.
I think tbf, you're doing a good job and a lot of people who are criticising you aren't practicing what they preach.

I've moderated 2 threads in the last 24 hours which were serious bumping for literally no reason. You guys know the rules and will get your accounts suspended if you carry on.
