It's a shame that Microsoft ditched their beautiful Aero theme in favor of their widely unpopular and absolutely disgusting Metro bullshit they used when they released Windows 8. Nothing since then has even come close to the polish that Aero had. Even though it's basically a step away from being fully unsupported, I still get the urge to switch back to Windows 7 whenever I use it partially because it looks so fucking good compared to the garbage we have now.

Yes and no. If you check the kernel version or run /ver in the command prompt you'll see it's just 10 reskinned with a GUI that hates power users.
also you can get to a half-broken version of the Windows 10 shell if you kill winlogon.exe in places where you're not supposed to

Oh man, Manjaro was a fucking treat when I tried it.
Half the time I booted into it with KDE, the fucking panels I had all set up wouldn't even display properly. I couldn't even install it on some computers because of some nonsensical error that I couldn't figure out at the time.
If you couldn't figure out what the hell that error message means, you're not the only one. Basically, it couldn't install the bootloader onto the disk. Of course you wouldn't be able to figure this out until you somehow manage to grasp what the fuck a Grub is or what the hell that huge block of text means.
At some point KDE itself just gave up and stopped working altogether even when I actually got it installed correctly, which was extremely annoying and resulted in me just reinstalling Windows 7 onto the computer I had it on.
Just go with Arch instead of going with a derivation of it. Sure, the installer sucks a donkey's dick but at least it boots quickly, is decently lightweight on hardware that was never meant to run it, and lets you pick which desktop environment you want to use (though you have to install that separately...).

the masses of people fleeing Russia right now indicates that many people are discontent with the way Putin has handled the situation
if he nukes Ukraine, a large number of the remaining people would likely rebel, and Putin can't really do anything about the rebellion. if he does try to handle the rebellion, it would likely lead to more international condemnation and more actions against Russia, which Putin can't really afford right now
if he doesn't nuke Ukraine, they'll keep liberating their territory and the remaining Russians would likely be discontent (again). they rebel, Putin tries to handle rebellion, and shit hits the fan
