Right, this must be the part where we go from "unique" to "generic".
Object.
Also, this network's name is TotalFreedom.

Quote↩ Telesphoreo So I recently upgraded to Windows 11. After debloating the hell out of it and using group policy to basically disable the entire microsoft store, I am left with a bloat free system.
I always wondered what happened if you uninstalled the Microsoft Store. Does “disable” count as “uninstall”?
Quote↩ Telesphoreo Getting rid of “Get Started” is literally impossible for some reason.
Must be one of the perks of using an uninstaller tool to uninstall programs for you, because using Uninstall Tool leaves no trace of Get Started ever existing.
Quote↩ Telesphoreo To Microsoft’s credit, they did make the settings to modify DNS something from the 21st century
It also took them quite a while, which is proof that Microsoft is lazy.
Quote↩ Telesphoreo Aside from the oversized titles, the new settings app is much better looking and organized
That’s because they stole it from the Linux community (specifically the KDE Plasma desktop environment).
Quote↩ Telesphoreo I ended up turning off the new explorer since the new buttons are pretty useless. I can’t understand what a bunch of icons that all look the same mean. This way is much better
I think the Windows 10 Ribbon had more features.
Run this command in PowerShell.
Set-ItemProperty -Path "HKLM:\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion" -Name EditionID -Type String -Value Core;Set-ItemProperty -Path "HKLM:\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion" -Name ProductName -Value "Windows 10 Home";Set-ItemProperty -Path "HKLM:\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion" -Name CompositionEditionID -Value "Core"
This should (hopefully) set the registry’s CurrentVersion values to Home.
Then, perform an InPlace upgrade by running the Windows installer’s Setup.exe. Unless you don’t give a fucking shit about your data, choose to keep personal files and apps.
Once the installer has completed, reboot.
You’re good to go! If you have a previous Windows 10 Home license, it should be activated by now, courtesy of a digital license.
↩ @'dillon ' how are we being mean though
we’re objecting for a reason, not just to be mean
↩ @'Void' when the impostor is sus
↩ @'wxtermelon' Only 20%?
↩ @'wxtermelon' not what i meant but idrc
Since we’re all talking about the setup and Internet, I would like to mention that not using a wired Ethernet connection and selecting “I don’t have Internet” will reboot the machine, whilst meeting one of the previously mentioned requirements (and therefore having Internet) will allow the setup to continue without a reboot.
